Reviews
I have also had that pizza here which is great! The drinks are phenomenal along with the Service. It’s an awesome little place that I think you should check out.
I hope this review doesn’t make the restaurant too busy where I can no longer get a seat, but I just can’t say enough about this place.
Who took a bite out of this wing before we got our order? Really bad food!!
Bread bites: Marinara was very good. The bread was seemingly made from over proofed dough. Very airy and bubbly. Some were crispy, some doughy. Highly inconsistent.
Garlic parm wings: Mostly over cooked. Inconsistent. Some were dry. Others semi juicy. Peeling back from the bone to a point you can visually see it’s over cooked. And I got an artichoke disguised as a wing. Hope that didn’t count towards this dismal 1/2 lb of wings.
I ordered 3 pizzas, 16” Alfredo, 16” cheese, and 10” pepperoni.
Not at all impressed by the dough. Very Chewy and not very crispy, unless it’s one of the MANY bubbles in the crust and throughout the pizza, which it’s then either burnt or too crispy.
Not enough sauce on any of the pizzas. Definitely feels dry after having moisture cooked out of it.
Every slice was inconsistent to the slice next to it leading to a very different pizza experience in every slice.
The chicken on the Alfredo pizza was over cooked, dry and flavorless. Tasted like plain boiled chicken.
It may have won awards in Castle Rock, but this Za shop has leagues to go to be renowned.
The food had potential to taste really great, but the cooks put way too much marinara sauce in the pasta and the lasagna was cold. Which we watched setup on the window for quite some time before being served to our table.
The overall experience was like hurry up and get out. We showed up at 8:45. The place didn’t close until 11:00.. we were just trying to get some good food and unwind from the long day but wasn’t going to happen here even though it had the perfect atmosphere for it but the wrong vibes from the staff.

However, when my husband arrived to pick up the food, he was not given the Happy Hour pricing.
I called the restaurant and spoke with the General Manager, who also identified himself as an owner. I explained the situation and requested a refund for the price difference. He responded, “We don’t do that.” When I explained that two separate employees had confirmed it was okay, he said, “Well, they are wrong, they know that,” and seemed to dismiss my concern.
I told him that if multiple employees are providing incorrect information, it reflects a failure in leadership, and the business should still honor what was promised. He then offered a gift card, but I declined and reiterated that I simply wanted the refund; it wasn’t about anything more than doing the right thing.
Eventually, he agreed, took down my name and mailing address, and said I would receive a “refund” but never indicated how much (it should have been about $45). Our total order was about $175.
Two weeks have passed, and I have yet to receive the refund or any follow-up.
This isn’t just about the money, it’s about integrity, accountability, and doing what’s right. While I’ve always enjoyed the food, I won’t be returning. Very disappointed.
