The place is amazing for Thai food. The ambience is cozy and beautiful, both indoors and outdoors. The staff are very polite and courteous, which makes the dining experience even better.

The food portions are quite generous and one dish is enough for 2, and they have a great selection of cocktails and mocktails. Their seasonal menu also offers some interesting options. They have limited vegan and vegetarian choices, but the ones they offer are delicious.

We tried the green curry with jasmine rice, which was a perfect option for vegetarian comes with tofu, bell peppers, egg plant and green beans. We also ordered the Crying Tiger from their seasonal menu. It was very delicious and served with traditional sticky rice in a bamboo container.

The corn salad was a good portion size and very refreshing. It had a mix of carrot, raw papaya, tomato, corn, and peanuts, which worked really well together.
We also tried the tamarind whiskey sour, which was okay in taste.

One thing to note is that the restaurant is not wheelchair accessible ♿❌ because the entrance is quite narrow. They do have street parking available ️✅, but it can get busy on weekends.
Great for small group, families and dining alone.

Been ordering here take out for years but we finally came into eat and wow! Hidden gem of Vancouver and I’m so thankful we live in the area as this place is hands down the best Thai food in Downtown.
We ordered the calamari. Super crispy and delicious one of the best I’ve ever had! And then their special pork belly with fried rice and some chicken satay sticks and everything was super Fresh, and litterally off the grill and at your table asap. The dessert was seriously super good also!! Excellent service also and we are coming back to dine in asap in 2026. Cheers all!

I enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. Although it’s styled with Thai, they use stir-frying in a wok, which is quite similar to Chinese cooking. I liked the flavors! The only downside was that the sticky rice mango dessert wasn’t available, which was a bit disappointing.

Service, food and staff were top notch. Tried their recommended dishes and it did not disappoint. Ideally make more vegetarian friendly options or customizable dish options but overall the place was worth it. A must return to visit for sure.

I love Thai food and this place is good for some staple options. Tried their special menu and they had panang curry which is my favourite but this one was a little different! It was a duck panang curry with lychee. I think it was a little too sweet for my liking since it had both lychee AND pineapples in the curry. The flower dumplings were beautiful but again very sweet, almost like a sweet peanut butter dumpling. We also got the crying tiger steak which was kind of disappointing. The sauce was good but the steak itself was bland and couldn’t really pick up the flavours of the sauce even when drenched since it was pretty chewing even though we ordered medium rare. It was cooked medium rare perfection but had some tendon pieces in it which made it chewy. The house special secret garden drink was amazing!

All in all presentation is great, food was alright, good for a date night if you aren’t picky about your Thai food like I am. I think its well suited for the western palate or something trying thai food for the first time!

I’ve taken out a few times for small appetizers, but this was our first time dining in — and it was amazing.
Everything we ordered was amazing, one dish after another.

Our favorite was the pad see ew. The meat was cooked just right, and the noodles were fantastic.

We’ll definitely be back to try more.

A pleasant surprise, my first visit to Zab Zab. Having been travelling to Thailand for over 40 years, I have a strong affection for the cuisine. As of late far too many Thai restaurants have disappointed me with dumbed down dishes for western tastes.

Zab Zab dishes are deep in flavor, well presented, and quite reasonably priced. I was very impressed with the curry dishes, the Laab, and the Eggplant saute. The service was excellent, and I enjoyed the fact that our server was from Thailand, and the kitchen seemed to be staffed by Thai chefs.

I dare to say, this may be the best authentic Thai restaurant in town.
