I was visiting a friend in Louisiana and didn’t expect to find such a comforting meal that day. It happened to be a cool day, and we casually stopped by Zaap Thai Cuisine. That’s when I decided to try their new ramen menu—and it turned out to be the perfect choice.

The ramen was warm, rich, and incredibly satisfying. The flavorful broth paired beautifully with the noodles, making it the kind of dish that instantly makes you feel cozy and relaxed, especially on a chilly day. It felt like a comforting bowl made with care, blending Thai flavors with a ramen-style twist.

The atmosphere was welcoming, and the experience overall made the visit feel extra special. What started as a simple meal during a trip to see a friend became a really memorable moment. If you’re in the area on a cool day and craving something warm and comforting, Zaap Thai Cuisine’s ramen is definitely worth trying. ^^

Most of the food is pretty decent. But they are stingy with the amounts. I was sooo disappointed when I order mango sticky rice the portion was legit for babies or something. I can not believe how little the amount of mango they gave. I rather them just tell me they are out and don’t have enough than be this disappointed. I was able to lift all the mango on one fork and they were small and thin. Don’t waste the 9$ on it.

I wish I could give 3.5 for the food, I ordered basil fried rice with beef (heat level 4 of 5); it was better than a 3 but not a quite a 4. I would order it again but it didn’t capture my wow factor or even so much that I would come here just to order it. The waiter was great and attentive. The place did NOT remind me of Thailand or meet a puedo sports bar although they had big TVs for viewing.

Food was fantastic! My family of about 20+ came for a birthday dinner and staff were so accommodating and attentive! I had never had Thai food before but this was great! Would definitely recommend 10/10. Service was also wonderful!

I have had much better in other cities. But if this is all you have for a good Thai option in the area, it is what it is.

My clear noodle dish came out and the shrimp were barely cooked and still cold. Had to send to back. The dish was very greasy, too much oil. My fiancé’s item was much better. We enjoyed the chicken balls as appetizer.

Overall a 3.5, not bad but not spectacular.

Ok… this is after our 3rd time eating here (over the last 4 Months or so?) and it’s so good we decided to make the effort to leave a review. Having been fans of Thai cuisine for many years and finding several excellent places (Corpus Christi, Dallas, & Tyler, TX, etc), we are psyched to add ZAAP to our top choices for Thai. Our last 2 visits, we ordered enough at lunch to have extra to bring home for dinner (got extra orders to-go while we ate). The Papaya Salad is EXCELLENT (heat level 3 is enough to give me sniffles… be careful, they can bring the heat, and we love it). I personally love the Red Curry, Tom Kha Gai, and Pad Thai, which are all excellent here as well! Today, my husband decided to try something new (to us) and went with S7 Khao Soi; noodles meet soup (but not ramen) and it was SO GOOD! We added chicken thigh, which was good and the fried Cod fish that elevated the taste of the meal even more! Can’t figure out what gives it that “extra” but it was there (we try to figure it out as we enjoy cooking food at home a lot). With that all said, we got another to go, lol. It’s places like this that have drawn us away from Chinese fare because we seek the lighter/more flavorful offerings a great Thai place can bring.

This was long winded because this place is in a location you don’t just see and think “oh, since we’re already here let’s pop in for a bite.” You need to go here on purpose, if that makes sense. The location has been some form of a restaurant several times over (hence the 4-star grade for atmosphere/very clean but not “fancy”), but ZAAP has something that’s a bit next level for us. They’ve been here for a few short years, but we hope people who see this will roll the dice and enjoy it as much as we do so that it will be here for a long time to come!

We found this restaurant after a day off the casinos. Not expecting much due to the randomness of Thai food in Louisiana, we found ourselves extremely surprised, satisfied, and full. Service was top notch. The owner conversed with us at our table and spoke to us about any dishes we showed interest in, and also threw some recommendations in for us to try. We ordered 7 dishes for 4 of us and everything was phenomenal. We’ve all 4 done our fair share of traveling and this Thai food is among the best in the country. Definite hole in the wall win. Don’t miss out!

We ate at Zaap Thai Cuisine for my birthday dinner, and it was phenomenal! I had the Thai Fried Rice with chicken and fried dumplings, and my husband had the miso ramen with chicken and Thai fried rice. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with quality ingredients—you even pick your spice level!

The owners are such kind, beautiful people, and the servers are always amazing. They even surprised me with a sweet sticky rice and mango dessert that was absolutely heavenly.

Clean restaurant, great atmosphere, outstanding service, and authentic Thai food. One of my favorite places in town!
