Takeout is quick – usually around 20 minutes.
They also serve great lunch specials like 2 and 3 roll specials with soup or salad, or the hibachi lunch with soup and salad. 10/10
The family who runs Yuzu is incredibly kind.
I’m quite particular with sushi and I’ve never had anything but amazing excellent rolls here. Highly recommend!
I have been looking for a good sushi place for a long time around this area and have tried multiple places that specifically serve sushi or even have it as part of a menu, but they just tasted… ok. Like what you’d just kind of normally expect and nothing special. I’d say they’ve tasted a little bit better than what you’d expect at the sushi section in a buffet. Even some all you can eat sushi places don’t taste like anything special.
This place however.. my gosh… You can really taste the difference in quality and freshness!
The only places I had really good tasting sushi in PA is HOURS away (places visiting while traveling) and even comparing to that one place I liked about 4.5 hours away isn’t as good as Yuzu here!
The prices here are not horrible either and definitely prefer paying what the offer here over some place cheaper that doesn’t have me leaving extremely satisfied by what they serve.
There is no question now where I want to go for sushi after discoving this wonderful place and it’s not that far away!
The staff is also extremely kind and polite! It’s wonderful to talk with them when they stop by the table to make sure everything is good. They even gave pointers about eating the Sea Urchin first during the Sea Urchin special of the day! I almost made the mistake of saving it for last haha I never had it before and it was so good too! The chefs are also very cool too! This is a very friendly environment and I like it a lot!
My favorite is salmon. I know it’s something simple and is basically everywhere you can get sushi, but I love the salmon here so much! This and every other sushi I’ve had so far have tasted so rich and fresh! I can’t express how perfect everything here tasted (even the various rolls).
If you’re ever thinking about going out to eat sushi, COME TRY THIS PLACE! Seriously, when I think of sushi I just think Yuzu now 😀
Thanks for the excellent dining experience to the staff and the chefs as well!
*For anyone who has played the videogame Dave the Diver, this is like the Bancho’s sushi of Lancaster! Definitely a gem of a place to eat at!
To give some context, two days ago me and 3 others were celebrating my birthday and decided to come to this establishment for dinner. After we order our drinks we get appetizers and wait up to probably 15 minutes for two simple steamed dishes and two salads. Once we order our main dishes we wait about 20-30 minutes for three chicken dishes and two sushi rolls. I was disappointed in the wait times due to the fact we were the only active table ordering food and not eating. A table across from us that had arrived when we received our apps had gotten their apps but later received their main dishes before us!
Once our long awated food arrives, I notice a bit of wasabi smeared on one of my rolls which I assumed was just a little mess but as soon as I bit into a different peice my mouth was instantly on fire. There was a huge peice of wasabi INSIDE of my sushi roll that was not included in the ingredients (it was throughout the entire roll as well). I had ordered an Uba roll which Included two different white fish, avocado, uba (Which I could not figure out what that was but it was definitely not wasabi), and salmon on top with some sauce. I kindly asked my server to return the roll and ask the chefs if it was an accident but they denied everything and refused to admit they put wasabi in the roll, stating I must’ve touched the wasabi myself and I should know it comes on the plate. The manager also stated that the wasabi I pointed out was avocado, which there is a clear textural difference between. It was a pathetic excuse from both the chefs and the manager and I was very disappointed with my service. The roll was refunded thankfully but I will not forget this experience. (The photos included show the distinct difference between wasabi and avocado)
