I love Yu’s! My go-to order is Buddha’s delight (mixed tender vegetables in a savory white sauce) and scallion pancakes (thin crispy chewy pancakes with scallion in the batter). I’m a huge meat fan but you know the place is great when you’re eating (almost) entirely vegetarian when you go. (I say almost because I think the pancakes are fried in lard, which is probably why I’m so addicted!)

I used to get Yu’s all the time growing up in Mankato and loved it. When I hear there was new ownership, I was concerned that the food quality would take a hit. It hasn’t! It’s still the same old delicious Yu’s! We’re so lucky to have truly fantastic Chinese food in Southern MN.

I ordered the #10 here tonight and the beef was all extremely dry and too tough to eat. It’s as of someone got a bunch of beef jerky wet and cooked it. This is the first time I’ve ever been disappointed by the food here, but this experience was very disappointing. I drove over 20 minutes one way to get this for dinner tonight and now I have no appetite.

I came to this place in dire need of asian food because I miss my cultural food. The food was delicious, hands down. At the end when I finished my food in the car, the sweet owner came out asking about a phone left in the restaurant, luckily it wasn’t mine, but that was a nice catch. How sweet.
