The faint of spice should not come here!!! Got the level 1 tteokboki and was extremely spicy. Flavors were yummy and portion sizes are HUGE! Traveled very well via Uber eats.

Nicole Hi
Tteokkboki was amazing. The texture is on point! The sizes are very big so consider sharing with 2-3 people. If you don’t eat spicy food I recommend going with very mild. Otherwise, the regular spice option is very tasty but consider having something cold or some banana milk just in case

I was so excited to find out there was a Yup Duk in Irvine. I went to the LA one first and had been wanting to go back. This place was good, I got the B set and really liked everything that it came with. As a vegetarian, there was enough to get full from while sharing with a non-vegetarian friend. We also got banana milk! It’s a small spot so there was a bit of a wait for dine in but the staff was super friendly. Also we got mild but it wasn’t that spicy especially after the staff’s warning. I’d definitely want to go again with friends.

Looking to spice things up? This is your place, first time here and it was more than expected, we did our dishes going extra mild and it was just the right amount of heat, the Bulgogi came regular and it took the spice level up about three notches. Greet taste, seaweed rice balls were fantastic, soft, touch of saltiness with a great seaweed hint. @yupddukirvine

I’m looking at these pictures wanting to eat this again. It was so spicy but so good. I usually prefer the fish cake over the dduk (rice cake) but the dduk was actually so good and better than anything. I recommend adding ramen noodles, the rice balls, and some other fried sides cause it makes the whole ensemble better. I think four people could definitely share! We ordered mild and it was very spicy!

If you’re craving tteokbokki and fish cake look no further- this place is hands down a craving. Make sure you add ALL THE EXTRAS- especially the fried seaweed and veggie fries. Extra mild is still pretty spicy so tread carefully if this is your first time! Enjoy!
