The Coconut Delight Stir-Fried Pork Ribs with Mint was unforgettable. The ribs were tender, juicy, and perfectly coated in a creamy coconut sauce. The fresh mint added a bright, refreshing layer that balanced the richness so well. I’ve never tasted anything quite like it!
The Xuanwei Ham & Potato Rice was another standout. The aroma alone was incredible, and the flavor did not disappoint—comforting, savory, and deeply satisfying. The ham was rich and smoky, and the potatoes soaked up all the delicious flavor. It’s one of those dishes you keep thinking about long after finishing it.
The service was warm and attentive, and the whole dining experience felt welcoming and thoughtful.
If you love unique flavors and high-quality cooking, Yunnan Kitchen is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!
The braised chicken was very crispy and well marinated.
Pea jelly (cold): Not my favorite as the jelly texture wasn’t what I expected. The chili oil with peanuts was really good though!
The Paoluda was refreshing and perfectly balanced, the steam pot chicken was incredibly flavorful and tender, and the crispy mint pork ribs were fragrant, crunchy, and absolutely delicious.
Great food, authentic flavors, and definitely worth trying!
We got the Grandma’s Potato which is savory, soft, and some kind of pickle inside.
Mint Beef is soft and tossed in the wok with fresh mint leaves.
The Boiled fish is deliciously flavorful with the spiciness not overpowering the other flavors.
The best dish is the grilled fish that is beautifully seasoned. Crunchy on the outside and oft on the inside.
The most difficult thing is to eat all if that and still have dessert. The dessert menu is numerous and full of goodies.
Overall, this place is fantastic.
The location is a bit small But that is literally the only nit I can pick.
My server was fantastic. The food came out quickly and was insanely good. I didn’t know how big my stir-fried rice cake bowl would be so I ordered the sweet and sour pork loin to go with it. But the rice cake bowl was huge and tasted incredible. Lots of heat, lots of fresh prepared veggies and meat. 10/10 would recommend that dish. The pork tenderloin I tried and 10/10 would recommend it as well.
If you’re in this area get some take out or eat in , you won’t regret it!!
I was totally impressed by the flavors here — everything tasted authentic and comforting. ✨
Old Grandma’s Mashed Potatoes (老奶洋芋) – Soft, creamy, and full of earthy potato flavor with just the right hint of salt. It tastes like true home-style Yunnan comfort food.
Fried Wild Mushrooms (油炸菌子) – Crispy on the outside, tender inside, with a deep mushroom aroma. Not greasy at all — easily the highlight of the meal!
Mint Beef (薄荷牛肉) – The refreshing mint perfectly balances the rich, savory beef. So flavorful and addictive — you just can’t stop eating it.
Xuanwei Ham & Potato Rice (宣威火腿土豆饭) – The salty fragrance of the ham seeps into every grain of rice and piece of potato. Simple, hearty, and incredibly satisfying.
The restaurant is clean, cozy, and the staff are super friendly.
Absolutely recommend this place if you’re craving authentic Yunnan food!
