The service was very welcoming! It was my first time trying Haitian food and visiting this restaurant. The owner made me feel right at home, she is a lovely lady. The food is delicious!!! The jerk chicken is spicy, so flavorful and moist!! The rice was cooked well and wasn’t at all dry. I will be a repeat customer to try more of this cultures cuisine

We happen to notice this restaurant while just driving by and we stopped to give it a try. We had fish, griot, black rice, picklea, macaroni gratinee, and plantains. Sooooo good. The absolute best passionfruut juice!!! Great food, great service, great experience! Must try!

Deep fried beef patties!… as a food critic on my way to food review stars Caribbean restaurant I passed this place on the way down blanding and said hey it’ll be cool try them out also. Looked up the reviews and with a 4.0 I said ok let’s give it a go. Upon entry

To my left I was greeted by the coolest 2-3 year old boy laying on the chairs playing his YouTube
Loudly with his shoes spread between 2 different booths
I didn’t mind , to me ithat meant this was a family business and the food was about to be slamming and delicious. I ordered jerk chicken which came with cabbage
Plantain and rice and peas
My lady ordered curry chicken
Plantain peas and rice
2 beef patties
And the don’t sell coco bread
Instantly I had worry bout the patties if they don’t have coco bread
Meal was 40$
Not bad but for that I was expecting the same as other places which similar price but have better taste. The lady brung our food
She was very nice .
Both our boxes had oil covering the bottom as is our tray was sat in a puddle of cooking grease accidentally. We began eating…. Food was 5 out of 10. Chicken tasted reheated and old.
My lady’s said her curry chicken wasn’t that bad but if sh take it home she can elevate it … which in my opinion I don’t want food I have to go home to upgrade
My jerk chicken… I ate some cabbage and chicken and gave the rest to my daughter when we left so I don’t waste it. The beef patties once I got home bag drenched in grease . Clearly deep fried. . It was a NO for me

Drove by and decided to stop in for a late lunch/early dinner. We were greeted with AMAZING service and even given samples to try some amazing food we’ve never tried before!! Ordered the jerk chicken with a side of rice and beans, it also came with cabbage and fried plantains. The food is absolutely DELICIOUS and the serving sizes are perfect for leftovers as well!! Although we didn’t try it, I definitely recommend trying the juices that are made by them, they sell out fast! 1000/10 restaurant!! Unfortunately, I didn’t get a picture of the food bc it was immediately devoured but if you’re in the area or happen to be driving by, STOP IN!!

Ordered delivery, food arrived but noticed both plates had white rice with a black bean sauce and plantains and a piece of lettuce, tomatoe and onion. I ordered double rice and cabbage for the sides. Called the restaurant was told they don’t have cabbage and the rice was white not black rice. Overall it wasn’t a pleasant conversation and he wouldn’t refund. I informed the person to update online options and to cancel if all sides aren’t available. I won’t order from here again. Called to get a refund from delivery service, lady said the owner won’t authorize because he stated my order was correct. Which it wasn’t at all.

This was my first time here & I will definitely be coming back. The place is very clean, welcoming & the food is top tier. Definitely took me back to Haiti. You can taste the heart & soul she put into the food. I am definitely coming back. The best I’ve had in all of Jacksonville, FL. I didn’t get pictures this time, because I was busy stuffing my face. Will definitely have some next time.

I love trying new restaurants. The food here was good. I’ve tried dirty rice before but this version was pretty good. I dont know if it’s called black rice or official name but it had I think pigeon peas and green peas mixed in. It had a good flavor, as was the oxtail. I tried the jerk chicken. It was plentiful but a bit too spicy for my liking. If you like spicy food, try their jerk chicken. If you’re in orange park area, check them out.

***Update to unprofessional owner*** I have no reason to lie. I said what I said. Funny how you edited your initial response only to come back and call me a liar. I don’t have to show you everything I plated. However there’s no mistaking YOU HAVE ROACHES IN YOUR ESTABLISHMENT PERIOD!! There was a ROACH fried in my food!!! I have patronized this establishment a few times and for the most part I’ve always had good experiences. Tonight on 7/31/24 at approximately 6:40pm I stopped in and placed an order for a griot plate to go. When I got home, everything looked normal upon first glance. I poured on the pikliz and started putting the food on a regular plate. When I came back for another scoop and stirred the rest of the griot I saw a huge Roach fried into the food. I threw everything on the plate and the remaining food in the container away. This is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE!!! You guys need to close for a few days and thoroughly CLEAN THAT PLACE UP!!!!

My husband and I ate here and this place has the absolute best Haitian food we’ve ever had . We had a great experience. We ordered the Tasso Cabrit (fried goat) The staff is very friendly and welcoming. This was a pretty chilled spot to eat, very clean. The price is a bit too high for only 2 people eating which is the only reason I gave a 4 star, but considering the portions that they give to you are big and so tasty it’s hard to not want to come back ☺️. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting some delicious Haitian food and great service to come eat here
