Incredibly delicious Thai food dinner last night at Yummy Thai and reasonably priced. Clearly the best we have ever had in St.Pete.
Crispy duck curry so flavorful, tender melt in your mouth with perfect sauce, paired with rice noodle & mango heavenly blue sticky rice dessert. Our server Evelin was very helpful. The level of food excellence outshines the uninspired look of the restaurant.

We just had the pleasure of trying Yummy Thai for the first time and finding that it is now our favorite Thai restaurant in the area. Decided to come here for the lunch buffet. Was very impressed with every dish they had in the buffet! Everything had great flavor and they stayed true to traditional Thai flavors. I was even surprised that the papaya salad had good flavor!
I asked for a lunch menu to order a to go order and service was slow for that, but other than that, very good food. Worth a try!

The massaman curry is delicious here. The best massaman curry I’ve probably ever had. All the ingredients we’re so fresh and bursting with flavor. I will say, the portion was smaller than average and it was just enough to satisfy me as a tiny person so I would definitely order a side to feel more satiated.

I was craving the garlicky broth in Thai chicken rice soup w/o having to make myself. I went in at 5:30 and I was the only person in restaurant, the host seemed a little confused for some reason at first then had me choose my table. I ordered a hot jasmine tea and chicken noodle soup(rice noodles, slightly overcooked) which was served w/ a few spicy condiments. It was topped with/ bean sprouts, crushed peanuts and scallions. The broth was a pale color, lacking flavor though fresh lime throughout but I needed more garlic and cilantro as I’ve had in others. It was fine but don’t think I’d rush back for it. $14

This was the worst buffet I’ve been to. They advertise it as an all you can eat buffet that lasts until 2:00PM. We arrived at 12:30PM and there was enough food for the two of us to get about half a plate each, then the food stopped coming out and the buffet was completely empty. After waiting 20 minutes, the food still wasn’t getting refilled and we told the server that the buffet had been out of food for quite some time. She asked what we’d like refilled… and we said everything because we came for a buffet and still haven’t seen much food since we arrived. She said they weren’t used to being busy, but there were only about 5 diners having the buffet. They turned off the warmers and shut down the buffet 40 minutes early without saying anything to anyone still waiting for food. They have signs posted that say there will be an extra charge for wasting food. They seem so concerned about the possibility of food being wasted that they don’t give their customers what they’re paying for.

Ordered fried rice with crispy duck and the duck was amazing! Also ordered Basil Duck that comes with crispy duck but because it was in the sauce, the duck was not as crispy. It was still very flavorful, but I prefer it crispy. Next time I’ll ask to have the duck on the side so it doesn’t become soft in the sauce.
