My daughter & I live in the area so we grabbed some takeout & it did not disappoint. The food is phenomenal! I tried the Seafood Pho which was loaded with several different types of seafood & the broth is so flavorful. I actually had enough for two servings. My daughter had the Shrimp Fried Rice which was also amazing & she loved it. I can’t wait to try the Chicken Pho, Combination Fried Rice & Wings next time.

I’ve been wanting to try this place out after a coworker raved about it. Its not too far from my house which made it the perfect spot to check out Mardi Gras day when I was sick and wanting hot soup! I ordered online and my husband picked it up but food was ready on arrival and everything was as ordered. I had the chicken pho which was so good. The broth was perfectly seasoned only thing I added was the herbs and sriracha because I love heat. I also tried the lemongrass tofu which I probably wouldn’t get again. The tofu was cut in a huge chunks and while the lemon grass seasoning had a great flavor the middle parts of the tofu was tasteless. This would be better if the tofu were sliced and fried thinner. I would try the lemongrass wings next time. I also tried the golden wings which is typical fried wing (think party wings in NOLA), great size and flavor. My favorite pho spot recently closed so I’m happy to have found a new spot so close to home. If you’re in Gentilly definitely check this place out and even if you’re not I’d say it’s worth the drive.

We were just craving some Vietnamese food and decided to give Yummy Pho & Fried Chicken a try — and it was worth it!
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a warm, cozy atmosphere. The restaurant looks and smells spotless, which really shows how seriously they take hygiene — something I truly appreciate.
The menu offers a great variety of dishes and drinks. We ordered Bún Bò Huế and Gỏi Cuốn Tôm (shrimp spring rolls), and both were amazing. The Bún Bò Huế especially brought back nostalgic memories of enjoying a bowl back home in Vietnam during my middle school ❤️. The broth was incredibly rich and flavorful — they mentioned it’s simmered for 14 hours, and you can definitely taste the depth and care put into it. Every detail shows their dedication and love for authentic Vietnamese flavors. It truly tasted like home ↕️ ↕️
Service was excellent — everyone was friendly and attentive. We also got a UNO student discount, which was a pleasant surprise! (Just remember to bring your student or faculty ID, and paying with cash can save you a bit more ^^).
Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Delicious food, great service, and a welcoming vibe. Wishing the business continued success — we’ll definitely be back!

The restaurant had a warm vibe. The servers were welcoming, polite, and checked on us regularly. The owner even came out to greet us and asked if everything was alright. We had the combination phở. The broth was perfect. Good size bowl with meats cooked to perfection. Nice food presentation as well. The restroom was clean. We can’t wait to come back to try other items on the menu!

The staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to explain each dish, which made the experience even better. The food was fresh and flavorful, but the pho truly stole the show — perfectly seasoned, rich broth, and packed with authentic flavor. Finally Pho in Gentilly!!
I got the Bang bang shrimp, they had nice plump shrimp and it was portioned perfectly. I almost got full off of that alone but my hungry eyes had to have some Pho. So naturally I ordered the Pho with Brisket, it was too good! The pho also traveled well. So you’re still good if you order it take-out, they packed it perfectly and made it easy to set up when you’re ready to eat.
I tried one of the desserts too. I tried the “3 Color Sweet” it was very different from anything I ever had but it was good. If I could explain the taste, it’s kind of like a sno-ball (the ones with condensed cream) with beans and jelly pieces. The red beans are soft but don’t taste like beans, it’s more like that candy Boston Beans. It was very different but I enjoyed it.
The staff was really cool and very nice. They offer details about the food if you’re new to the cuisine. I give this place a 10/10, I highly recommend checking them out!

Genuinely some of the best service and food I’ve ever gotten from a restaurant in the whole metro area.
The two waitresses were so friendly and welcoming, and the bun bo hue was so dang good, man. I will be back again and again and again.
This is a top 3 restaurant for me, and it sure isn’t #3. After a tough morning at work, I felt completely refreshed and at peace after my time here.

I stopped by today and tried the short rib Phở, and honestly, it was one of the best bowls I’ve had in a long time. The broth was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced—not too salty, just full of depth that makes you want to keep sipping. The short rib was tender, huge, fall-off-the-bone, and melted in my mouth with every bite. Fresh herbs and noodles tied everything together beautifully. You can tell real care goes into making this dish. If you’re looking for authentic, delicious Phở that leaves you satisfied, I highly recommend trying the short rib—it’s worth every spoonful!

They do their best to make this strip mall location relatively comfortable and that’s probably the nicest thing about this place. However the service is incredibly slow although the wait staff are very nice and friendly Expedition from the kitchen is incredibly slow. There’s nothing special about the menu it’s pretty boilerplate for a Vietnamese place it has three chicken wing appetizer options which I guess are why it’s called “and Fried Chicken”.
But what bothers me the most is the pricing of items on the menu….. this is basically an average or below average Vietnamese comfort food that is priced like a high-end Boutique Vietnamese place. A regular bow ofpho should not cost a 15 bucks, and take 20+ minutes to arrive at your table in the restaurant isn’t even that busy.. the broth was largely flavorless and nothing here stood out except for the pricing which prohibits me from likely coming back to see if the quality of the food improves.

Finally a Vietnamese spot in chilly Gentilly! I got the brisket pho on my first visit – it had great body to the broth and the meat and tendons were super tender. Will be back to try the pho ga and other dishes soon.
