Just as good as I remembered from when I was a child! The atmosphere is bland, so I always order to-go. The prices have definitely gone up, but I’m willing to pay for good food. I did have to pay $2.59 for extra chicken so this picture shows an adult plate with white rice, extra chicken and extra teriyaki sauce. My total was $12 and change. I personally have never tried the other sides (crab cheese, egg rolls) and I possibly never will but I recommend the chicken and sauce.

I’ve been coming to this amazing Japanese restaurant for over a decade, and it’s always been an unforgettable experience. The Chicken Teriyaki is their signature dish, and for good reason — it’s absolutely delicious! The portions are always huge, with generous servings of rice, vegetables, chicken, and plenty of that mouthwatering sauce. The flavors are consistently rich and balanced, and no matter how long it’s been since my last visit, it always tastes just as perfect as I remember. A must-try addition is their Crabmeat Cheese — it pairs wonderfully with the chicken and adds an extra layer of indulgence. The staff here is exceptional too; they always recognize me and make me feel like part of the family. It’s rare to find a place that maintains such a high standard for both food and service over the years. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

The food is great, but unfortunately, the service is not too great.
We both ordered vegetarian dishes, and both of our orders were made incorrectly.
I ordered the Vegetarian noodles with tofu, and got rice. The rice ended up being tasty anyway so I stuck with it. With what happened next I’m lucky my meal was made vegetarian so I could actually eat it.
My girlfriend got it much worse.
She ordered two orders of the Baki vegetarian spring rolls. For whatever reason, the cashier added dumplings to the order, and refused to give her a refund because the food had already started cooking until we pressed him about it.
Then, when she got her spring rolls, not only did she only get one order of them, but they had MEAT in them!! So she couldn’t even eat!!
During the confrontation he seemed very unwilling to solve her problem.
This place has been open for over a decade for a reason. The food is amazing. Maybe we just caught them on a bad day, (None of our orders were messed up before this) but their service really seemed like they just wanted to move the line as quickly as possible. But when restaurants do that, it tends to lead to errors.
I would not discourage anyone from eating here. Just make sure you’re very clear on what you’re ordering, especially if you’re a vegetarian/vegan.

I bought the Beef Teriyaki with extra beef and sauce and boy did they blow it out of the park. Good food and good workers make this meal more than just mall food.

This place was here before the fashion square mall. Before Saginaw township was founded. Before the natives hunted bear and fish. Before fish crawled out of the water’s depths and became bears. This place has always been here. It will always be here. There is no comparable food, nor restaurant. This cuisine has kept the entirety of Saginaw county afloat. It is considered a delicacy amongst aristocrats and high ranking executives. It is the lifeblood of the working man. It is the best thing to ever sizzle upon a flat top grill. You will eat here and regret your decision, for you cannot eat the yummy teriyaki every single day. Hence this teriyaki chicken will consume every waking thought you have, and every dream you enter. Every conversation you partake in, you will mention the yummy teriyaki double meat double sauce over white rice meal, and you will not be able to stop. You cannot escape the aromas, textures, and mind boggling tastes of Yummy Japan, and you will not want to. Yummy Japan is your god now.
