The most creative omakase experience of my life. my husband and I have tried
omakase all over the world but we’ve never had one with this level of variety. Chef David is incredible!!! He truly understands what omakase means: letting the chef choose a diverse, thoughtful selection that reflects his craft and personality!! His collection of the choices were amazing

Service was prompt and food was fresh. The menu was extensive and there is something for all pallets. Very impressed with this place. The only thing is it is pretty small inside so it’s hard to fit a large party.

Great sushi rolls await you at Yummy Grill and Sushi! Although it could be easy to miss in this strip mall, it was well worth the search. The food was beautiful and tasted even better! I look forward to coming back and trying more rolls.

I don’t usually write reviews, but tonight’s experience left such an impression that I had to.

While wandering through Las Vegas, I discovered a truly exceptional local sushi spot—far from the usual touristy places. Right from the start, the food surprised me in the best way. One of the first dishes I had was a clam topped with a creamy sauce. It was rich yet tangy, and absolutely delicious—an unexpected highlight.

Then came the Japanese oysters, which completely changed the game for me. They were smaller than what I’m used to, but that’s exactly what made them so special. Unlike the big, mushy oysters I’ve tried elsewhere, these had a clean, refined flavor—delicate yet deeply satisfying. It felt like each one was treated with the utmost care, and the taste reflected that.

But the real surprise was the monkfish liver. I’ve never been a fan—it’s usually too fishy for me—but this one was different. The chef told me they prepare it in-house, not the pre-packaged kind. And wow. It was incredibly creamy with absolutely no off-putting taste. I actually paused to savor it. That never happens with me and ankimo.

Every dish felt personal, thoughtful, and full of craftsmanship. This place isn’t just another sushi restaurant—it’s a hidden gem where the focus is truly on quality and flavor.

I walked in expecting a meal. I left feeling inspired. That’s why I’m writing this.

Very cool spot. Attentive service, and good variety. The baked mussels were killer. Hawaiian roll is Ono. The family ate faster than I could take pictures. Tempura Mochi Ice Cream….

First there is NO happy hour as detailed by others here.

Got the special number 1 roll that has soft shell crab. When I got the roll, I was hard pressed to find any soft shell in the roll. Plus the roll was already swimming in sauce and comes with another sauce in the side.
Clearly to drown out fish.

Yellow tail hand roll with scallion was much better for those who truly love sushi.
Really enjoyed the hand roll.

For 2 sushi my cost was $40.
Not much better than my favorite AYCE places.

This place is really fresh and good, but the prices are so high it’s not a place I can revisit without breaking the bank. So yes go if you have 100 plus to spend on three rolls and a beverage. I’d say if they could run some specials so people in this economy can afford a bite it would be awesome. Sorry Yummy you were delicious but way to much $$$$ .

The seafood, veggies, and fruit were all very fresh. We made the mistake of ordering too much food, but they did an excellent job at packing up our sushi rolls into a leftover container and even gave us a little bag of ice for transport. Loved all the rolls and presentation. I also have to add that they offered us training chopsticks since we were struggling. Amazing!

For lunch, we made the spontaneous decision to explore a new sushi restaurant. As we drove around, our eyes caught sight of a local spot nestled within a small shopping center. Intrigued, we unanimously agreed to give it a try, unaware of the delightful surprise that awaited us.

Upon receiving our orders, we were immediately captivated by the presentation of each sushi dish we ordered. Each piece looked like a work of art, enticing our taste buds with its vibrant colors and meticulous arrangement. The Clam Miso soup was truly amazing.

Needless to say, our experience was nothing short of extraordinary. We left the restaurant with a promise to return soon.

UPDATE: After 3 years had passed since my first visit to this restaurant, I wanted to re-visit this business with my family to see if I’d receive the same top-quality food and service. In short, we did receive that high-end quality/service during our 27 Jul 2024 visit. In fact, I will go on to say that I think this visit was even better than the first visit. I don’t recall exactly what was ordered 3 years ago; however, for the recent visit, we ordered the Gyoza, Soft Shell Crab, Pork Belly, and Miso Soup for our appetizers; and the Ahi Tuna Sashimi, Garlic Tuna Sashimi, Octopus Sashimi, Dragon Roll, Lisa Roll, and Kamikaze Roll for our entrées. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful – I was amazed at how big the sashimi cuts were…normally restaurants tend to skimp out on this but not this place.

The restaurant’s décor is still nice and the prices are still very reasonable. I’m not certain how long it will take until my next re-visit, but hopefully it won’t take 3 years again. I’m not necessarily a fan of where this restaurant is located, but it definitely isn’t unsafe either. I highly recommended this restaurant in my original review and I’m going to continuously recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Great place to eat. The staff are very friendly and the prices are comparable to other sushi restaurants in Las Vegas. The restaurant size doesn’t seem like it would accommodate a very large party (10+); however, I enjoyed the smaller feel to it…kind of reminded me of the traditional Japanese sushi houses in Tokyo. I highly recommend to everyone…my daughter and I had a great time there.
