This is a great choice for the Colonial Heights area. There are menu-options (appetizers and entrees) as well as the “main event” of doing a bowl where you pick your own toppings, meats, and sauces that get Stir Fried into rice. The Stir Fry Bowl can be as little or as much as you can fit, but remember same goes for seasoning (garlic, salt/pepper, teriyaki sauces, ect) so be sure to add more or less for your preference.
Usually packed, but that’s a good thing sign of their price and quality.
Service is quick and wait-staff are attentive. Great place for a party of 2-4, and maybe 6+ if you go at the right time.

Our son & daughter n love took us to the Yummy Bowl shortly after the Thanksgiving holidays. This was my wife & I first visit. Our grandkids joined us too. Lucy was our server & she did an outstanding job serving us. She was attentive, took our drink & meal order shortly after we were all seated. Lucy checked on us often, refilling our drinks & making sure our orders came out correct & hot. The food was delicious. I ordered the fried oysters & chicken & fried rice bowl. The rest of the family went through the buffet line. Everyone enjoyed their bowls. They give you a lot. We had food to take home. Thank you Lucy for great service. God Bless You.

Very disappointed. I’ve eaten here several times and love the food. I ordered to go like usual and a friend picked it up. I noticed my food was missing rice- on rice bowl order. I called three times and was hung up on every single time. I drove 25 minutes there to be told I didn’t select the side and that’s why I didn’t receive it. First, there is no option to select it online. Second, The side is part of the order. You only select a side if you want a variation. I’ve ordered multiple times and this has never been an issue. The encounter was frustrating, because I drove nearly a hour to essentially be blamed for a mistake they made. They took no accountability in the part they played. I picked up on a bit of attitude from the staff member as well. I was polite and didn’t expect anything but my side and a small apology for the mix up. This is unfortunately not the first time I’ve had a customer service issue so I will not be back. This is really sad because the food is amazing and I’ve always loved bringing my family and friends. I hope they can be better in the future.

This place was amazing service was quick my food was hot as hell lol. I loved it. There were so many options. So much Vegetables and meats. Lots of seafood options and you can get as much food as possible. The sushi was great too. They have a wide selection of sauces. YUM YUM HIT LIKE CRAZY and it’s so cheap. 15.99 for a bowl and the food is basically unlimited

The food good and was ready in 5 mins, and server was friendly. However, the owner didn’t great or bid goodbye to guest. He didn’t set a good example for the staff. Luckily they haven’t followed his lead.

Great selection of items to add to your Mongolian Hibachi order. Really enjoyed adding my own variety of sauces and having brown rice. Everybody got what they wanted. Definitely coming back.

We really enjoy this place! So far, we’ve only tried the bowls, but we’re already planning to come back just for the sushi! The whole experience was smooth—seating was quick, drinks came fast, and ordering from the grill line was super easy. Honestly, we had just sat down and our bowls were already being brought over—talk about fast service! The staff was on point, and the food was absolutely delicious. Definitely coming back soon!

Update: Been three times since my review and it has been amazing every time. I love seeing Lei, she recognizes me every time and is super awesome, gives great service and is always a treat to see.
I was there about two weeks ago, and I am dying to go back. That visit alone put this in my top 3 favorite restaurants.
The staff was very helpful and friendly, gave us complete instructions since we were new, and talked us through all their options, and they had a ton of options for proteins, seasonings, sauces.
The food was soooo good and they had many options to choose from, it was cooked to perfection and was very filling. The picture I took doesn’t do it anywhere near the justice it deserves, but that was mostly because I could not stop eating it to take a picture when the bowl was full.
I loved the atmosphere being a blend of old style art and beautiful lighting. It was a very clean restaurant.
Overall, it is a top-tier restaurant and you absolutely need to try it.

The sushi stole the show it was outstanding. Each piece—perfectly balanced with melt-in-your-mouth flavors and just the right amount of rice rice to let the fish shine . It’s the kind of sushi that makes you want to savor each bite.
The fried chicken was nearly as impressive. Its golden, crackling crust gave way to meat so tender it practically shredded itself, juicy in every bite. But the sauce selection only had three options felt like a missed opportunity to elevate the dish further.
Dessert brought a surprise star: the fried cheesecake was absolutely amazing! Definitely worth trying. I would love to see a fruit topping option added something like blackberry, cherry, or peach would take it to the next level.
Pass on the crab rangoon, unfortunately, was a miss for me. It tasted mostly like cream cheese with no real crab flavor coming through.
Lastly, the Mongolian side of the restaurant looked and smelled incredible—something I’d definitely come back to try!

Food was good. Servers were very hard to understand & did not understand questions about menu items. Bring a pen! Buffet style food selections for bowl, only one bowl per customer. $$ Very large variety of fresh veggies, several proteins. Dry seasoning & sauces. Hibachi & garlic oil was the perfect combo for me. All customer dishes cooked on the same grill. Is a place on the bowl card for Special instructions (allergies) The open kitchen concept was neat. Sushi roll options were limited.$$ we ordered the Fantastic roll & were brought the Dynamic roll, it was good. Will not be rushing for the next trip, however very convenient location.
