I have to say, the idea of the make your own bowl is absolutely wonderful. They cook it to perfection after you assemble it. Their appetizers are good as well, gyoza is a favorite of mine. The sushi is also well made. I would recommend the “da bomb roll”. It’s priced well and delicious. I must also point out that whoever cooks the appetizers and prepares the sushi really cares about presentation. Everything looks like it’s being prepared for a photo shoot! Don’t leave without trying the fried rice cream. I get mine with the chocolate on the side!

Went here for a group dinner, and I was really impressed by the taste of my food! It was…wait for it…yummy . I will say that the quality of the ingredients seemed on par with other restaurants, but the different options when you choose how to construct your bowl were impressive! Proteins like lamb, pork, calamari and others are available to add to your dish and you can add sauces to your liking so the flavor is exactly what you want. But there was something about how the food was prepared that gave me a slightly salty, slightly smoky, crispy grilled flavor which was a delight! The restaurant itself is laid out well with separation between tables and an open kitchen concept. They do not serve alcoholic beverages, but they had plenty of other water, soda, and tea options. There is a menu for sushi choices but I’m thinking most people go here for their bowls! Enjoy!

2nd time here and LOVE the concept which was very popular when I lived in the DC area but I wish they would turn down the lights (it’s like being at a generic Chinese buffet when it could be so much more) and the the chicken and beef is always well/overcooked. Love being able to make my own flavors and combos.

Only been here a few times. Believe order got messed up both times. Soup & dumplings okay. The noodles tasted weird. Not a sushi girl, but my husband got some!

The sushi is amazing I ordered 2 rolls of dynamite roll it was so delicious. My littles even loved it. I’ve been here 2xs. Both times I realized regardless of how much is in the bowl the price is the same so I went back up to add more to my bowl. They give you a paper slip at your table you choose your rice add all of your goodies in the bowl yourself putting your bowl on a tray don’t forget your split it has your starch, name, ans table #. The chefs cook on a flat top and the bowl gets delivered to your table. You can add egg, shrimp, chicken, beef, broccoli, scallops, green pepper , baby corn , corn, the list really is endless!! There are seasoning like salt, pepper, onion powder, lemon pepper seasoning ,and finally the sauce!! They have little Dixie cups and small spoons for tasting after choosing add Dixie cup of sauce to your tray before hitting the grill. The service is fast the wait staff is kind and friendly the sushi bar is separate from the bowl preparation/selections. The restaurant itself is clean and nice inside decorated very nicely even the bathrooms are nice and clean!! Highly reccomend. The first time I went here was for a birthday they do a birthday song and make the birthday person feel special dessert was an ice cream I think free of charge if I recall correctly. Yummy bowl 10/10 for the sushi and experience overall Highly reccomend and will return.

Listen. I walked into this place hungry, and I walked out questioning my entire existence because HOW IS THIS PLACE REAL? You grab a bowl, and they basically tell you “fill it up like you’re trying to win the Hunger Games” — protein, veggies, sauce, STACK IT TO THE SKY. There’s no “oh, that’s too much” or “you’re over the limit.” Nah. You could load that bowl like a game of Jenga and they’ll still cook it for you, hibachi-style, right in front of your hungry little soul.

The steak? Oh, the steak. Tender, juicy, cut like it was blessed by samurai sword masters in the mountains of Japan. And here’s the kicker: it’s all the same price. You want 3 pounds of steak? Toss it in. Chicken, shrimp, tofu, a Noah’s Ark worth of proteins? Doesn’t matter — one price, baby.

Service? Fast. Friendly. Efficient. My drink never ran dry, and before I could even say “dang I’m starving,” my hibachi masterpiece was brought to the table sizzling like a soundtrack.

Now, the only “downside” (if you can even call it that) is YOU have to season your own meat before they cook it. But honestly? That just makes me feel like I’m co-chef’ing the meal of my dreams. Garlic powder, lemon pepper, onion powder, secret sauces… it’s like playing Flavor God with training wheels.

Prices? Criminally fair. Like, FBI needs to investigate how I’m eating this much high-quality food without selling a kidney.

Bottom line: The Yummy Bowl is a national treasure and must be protected at all costs. If the world ever ends, I hope it ends with me at this restaurant, holding a mountain of steak and smiling like a fool.

Hannah, our server, talked us through how to navigate the build-your-own bowl bar for our first visit. The variety of veggies, meats, and sauces was awesome and the food tasted great! Prices are very reasonable as well for both the single bowl option and the all-you-can-eat. I will say though, the shrimp tempura I ordered was just okay and was definitely lacking seasoning. Next time I’ll just stick to the bowls.

YUMMY BOWL was in fact YUMMY and Delicious, you get ALOT of food for your buck, they have an Al you can eat, but to be honest the Creat Your Own Bowl will be enough for you . I love the open buffet concept where you pick all your food ingredients for them to cook. So pile your bowl to the top and ENJOY . The place and staff were Nice. Definitely give them a TRY..
