Love this place and the food is always on point! Drinks are pretty strong and flavorful. My favorite dish is the Spicy Seafood Salad. If you have not tried it, GET IT. Amazingly good with a decent hint of spice Never had a bad experience and I will be back

We always enjoy our dining experience here with the whole family. From appetizers to rolls to entrees to drinks, savory and fresh! We love the sashimi, rolls and udon. What differentiates this place is the service. We are always greeted warmly at the door and Chinh always provides excellent service. A lot of good recommendations and very attentive service. Highly recommend!

It was my birthday the night I went and I had a blast. Service was impeccable as well as the food. Our server Riley did a great job at making me feel seen as the birthday girl:) He even sang happy birthday in Japanese! And chef Bino made me the cutest caricature out of fresh cut fruit! Overall a blast:)

Our male server was amazing – great commentary, recommendations. Sashimi was fresh and delicious (but cut in very big slices, FYI), miso soup (plus rice added in) was amazing, and the chicken fried udon was a HUGE hit with our kiddo. Great ambience. First time going to Yumi and we’ll be back, especially now that we know about validated parking too! Two thumbs up from this Asian!

this is hands down me and my boyfriend’s favorite spot to eat!! our go to is the mexican roll that has a delightful mix of spiciness and freshness. the service is always amazing, cassi is our favorite server. she is very personable and gives great recommendations. the food and drinks are a little pricy but you truly get what you pay for. this place is not something i would miss out on!!

I’ve visited this Yumi location twice to eat and it’s wonderful. There is a parking lot right in front of their doors to park in. You can get parking validation at the reception desk. The servers are very friendly, though service is slightly slow. The quality of food seems high. Everything I’ve had here so far has been really good. My favorites so far are the lollipop roll and the mussels on the apologized menu. The rolls are massive, I feel like you get a lot of food for the price (much larger compared to other restaurants for the same price). The rolls are loaded with exterior toppings. Everything is plated nicely. I have visited on a Monday and Wednesday evening and have had great experiences.

We dined at your restaurant on Friday night 10-17-2025, with friends to celebrate the end of the week. We’ve enjoyed meals at your brand before (Edina location), though this was our first visit to this location is St Paul.
Unfortunately, our experience was impacted by the behavior of one of your food runners. When our sushi rolls were brought to the table, the runner announced them incorrectly, which was confusing. When I politely asked for clarification, she responded with noticeable attitude. Minutes later, when she delivered the next round of sushi, we asked if sashimi was also on the way, and she replied, “I only have two hands,” scoffing, then walking off.
Most of us at the table have worked in the service industry at some point, and we were surprised by that level of unprofessionalism, especially at a fine dining sushi restaurant. It was disappointing and honestly reflected poorly on the restaurant.
On a positive note, our server, who was also tending bar that evening, was fantastic, friendly, engaging, and made the night enjoyable despite the earlier issue. He truly stood out and deserves recognition for his excellent service.
I wanted to share this feedback so management is aware. I hope this helps address what seems to be a training or attitude concern with that food runner, as it detracted from what otherwise could have been a great experience
