The food at Yumee Katsu was okay overall. The katsu was crispy and cooked well, and the portion size was fair for the price. I also tried the kimchi soup noodles — the broth had a nice kick, it was nothing special and lacked depth of flavor. Service was friendly but a little slow, especially considering it wasn’t too crowded. It’s a decent spot for a casual meal, but nothing that really stands out enough to make it a go-to place.

Yumee Katsu offers a decent selection of katsu including with curry and udon. We ordered the Yumee Katsu and the Chicken Katsu Curry with the small udon. The udon tasted great at first and then lose almost all flavor by the bottom of the bowl. The pork and chicken katsu were both crispy with fresh bread crumbs and pretty tender. The curry tasted good as well but could have benefitted from a little more body.

Came here on a Saturday for lunch and had to wait about 30 minutes. It is a pretty small restaurant and you can add your name to the waitlist on a tablet in the store. We got the food fairly quickly and overall it was decent but I thought the pork katsu could’ve been crispier and had more flavor. The spicy noodles were good though and they were very generous with the portions.

Overall pretty good to try, next time I will try their curry udon.

Lots of parking at least!

I got the assorted katsu which I felt was a good way to the different types of katsu they have. It wasn’t a balanced assortment though since it definitely had more of the pork which was ok. I did like the shrimp better while cheese was also good. Serving was generous. Hubby had the katsu curry udon which he did enjoy.

They had ice cream in a mini chest freezer and the walnut maru popsicle was good.

Definitely coming back to try their other menu items!

I was craving noodles today and decided to give Yumee Katsu a try! Although it seems like the amount of reviews they have are still on the lower end, the quality of their food in the pics caught my eye.

I walked into the restaurant around 2:15pm and was surprised to see the restaurant was packed since it was way past “lunch time”. But obviously a green flag!

I was quickly seated at their only open table and was immediately assisted by a nice young man who provided quality customer service. He was super pleasant and helped me narrow down on an order which was their Donkatsu Spicy Chewy Noodle.

After my order was placed, it took about 20-25 mins for my order to arrive at my table. My order came with a couple sides, katsu sauce, and soup along with a water & carafe which was absolutely necessary as someone that gets a runny nose when eating spicy.

Now the food was great! I loved how cut of the Katsu was a thin cut which oddly made the thought of eating something fried feel somewhat luxurious. The fresh ingredients on top of the noodles were delicious toppers, again, making the thought of eating noodles feel healthy as well. Noodles weren’t too spicy which is great for me as I like my spices to be a light kick versus a numbing experience.

Ambiance was nice, quiet, and clean, it was actually one of the most peaceful lunches I’ve had in a while because of how calm everyone was in there from the customers to employees — the whole experience felt very peaceful!

The quality of the food & ingredients was quite impressive and honestly made me feel like I was in Japan because of how neat and well-portioned the meal was. I did end up eating about 60% of my food at the restaurant & took my left overs home which I actually just finished prior to writing up this review — i am pleased to share that food tastes just as delish as left overs, especially if you have an airfryer to warm up the katsu without softening the breading.

I would love to come back again to try their cheese katsu and even their curry katsu! Highly recommend visiting this restaurant to fulfill your katsu or noodle craving!

Put your name down on the tablet. Get a text when your table is ready. Order at your table via a tablet. Pay at the front. Nice and easy!!

Food: Delicious variety of katsu, from pork to chicken to cheese-filled.
I had the spicy chewy noodles (cold). Great chewy texture and spice level was not too bad even for those that can’t tolerate spice. Will be back to try other varieties.

The food is mid despite being overpriced. First of all, the katsu was not enough seasoned and they chose the lean pork chop to cut cost to make katsu. You suppose to taste the fattiness drip out from the katsu. I ordered the curry katsu udon and the curry was more on the lighter side and it tasted like those curry block you can make it at home. For $22 for a curry katsu udon and $11 for 4 pcs of thin cheese katsu, I expected the katsu to be up the bar. Price is not a problem if I received what I came for. However, the menu has great varieties and the appearance is .

The pork cutlet was very juicy and tasty. The kimchi cutlet tasted a bit too sweet. The cheese cutlet was really good. I felt that the bathroom needed cleaning. Thank you

Yumee Katsu is delicious, but always feels busy and cramped. It’s a little awkward sometimes because you have to walk in and wait in the cramped space and watch everyone eat. (I feel it’s probably better for them to implement some kind of wait system like a sign in sheet, but maybe they don’t want people to wait outside either).

All the food is good and never misses, esp the curry and katsu. The Tteobokki / spicy rice cakes will set your mouth on fire and hurt you (in a good way).

Either way, I am glad they are getting good business.

Long wait so better come here early. We tried the spicy rice cake + pork chop and king pork chip with rice. The spicy one is great, but the king pork chop is too thin for my taste. I would rather order the regular pork chop. Order via touch screen but the instructions does not match what is coming with the order.
