My favorite place for food and cocktails in Nelson. Consistently delicious and comfortable. Fresh and curated menu. Friendly staff and in the summer they have lots of outdoor seating.

We tried so many amazing dishes! The bao buns were delicious. We had a half order of the cashew chicken cole slaw and that was great too! I loved the sweet cauliflower wings. I could eat only those for eternity! The drinks and desserts were great as well.

I grew up eating viet food in Toronto and then Calgary for the past 18 years. I’ve eaten a lot of good food in Vietnam. Love it all.
I thought this spot is close to being great. The prices are a bit though given the quantity and quality. $18 for 3 average sized spring rolls is nuts. Over $20 for a pho bowl that’s regular size with decent noods, broth and beef. $18 for 2 Bao.
There’s a myth that Nelson is expensive but this is the only one I find insane price wise. It’s a nice spot and patio. I’ll stick with the Viet food in major cities.

Food was fantastic but that’s not the issue. You need to teach your waitresses proper cash handling technique. Step 1) count the cash in front of the customer, step 2) put the money in the till right away and print out a receipt to hand back to the customer to avoid “losing” a dollar bill amount. Step 3) don’t steal from your customers – if you misplaced said bill, then I don’t owe said bill but rather subtract what was given and I’ll pay the rest for incompetence (meaning any tip given is lost).

Was in Nelson and looking for Pho. I ordered two Pho’s for pickup and the bill came to over $50. As I was walking into my hotel with the food the paper bag bottom collapsed due to the condensation in the bag and spilt half the broth. Once I got around to eating it I quickly realized this was some of the worst pho I have had, at one of the most expensive prices I have ever paid! I described it as if “pho turned into fast food” – this is not a traditional recipe. They took one of the most affordable, delicious traditional recipes and absolutely butchered it into an over priced noodles and flavoured water. Lastly, to make things worse pho is typically promised “fuh” but on their menu they call it “pho-shizzle” – just continues to prove how much of a joke this dish is. 1 star.

Nice space with friendly staff but food was not impressive. If you are familiar with Vietnamese cuisine and been to many Vietnamese restaurants, you will be disappointed. Foods are presented in similar way but flavour is not there. Curry was not too bad but peaceful noodle bowl was awful. Also everything seems over priced in my opinion especially spring roll and the salad roll. They were $14 and $15 for 2 rolls each.

Had a great dinner. I got the pork steamed buns (but with lettuce) for my appetizer and it had a lot of flavour. The yum son noodle bowl for main, which was pretty good. The carolina dessert. Mocha for a drink which was great. Overall everything was really good and the server was switched on and friendly.
