Overall, a very good experience at Yukiguni in Niagara. The food was fresh and full of flavor, especially the Oyako-Don and Katsu-Don. We also enjoyed the Nabeyaki-Udon, the shrimp and vegetable tenpura were perfectly crisp. The portions were generous, and everything taste so authentic. The atmosphere felt cozy and relaxed, and the staff were very welcoming. A great spot if you’re looking for quality Japanese food away from the busy tourist area.

It is a small, modest restaurant that was completely packed when we arrived, which is usually a great sign. Despite the crowd, the staff was incredibly accommodating; we were grateful they didn’t turn us away, and they managed to seat us after only a short wait.

The hospitality of the owner and the employees here are next level – it feels homey and comfortable as soon as you walk in and talk to them.
The foods are very authentic, the sashimi extremely well cut and fresh, the curry just like the ones in Japan. I didn’t get to try the Udon and Soba but those are on my bucket list for next time.

The restaurant has been busy each time we visited regardless of the time of year. We visited on Christmas Eve, and they were fully occupied by 6PM so we decided to get our food for takeout. It took about 20 minutes for the food to be prepared, and we were offered a table when it was ready despite having already paid for our food. Amazing service and great food. It’s definitely a place we will revisit.

You know an Asian restaurant serves authentic food by the crowd of Asians. We were craving for good rice dishes after visiting Montreal and Quebec City, and this Yukiguni Restaurant didn’t disappoint.
We ordered, tuna & salmon avocado rolls, sashimi rice bowl, katsu-don, chicken curry and teriyaki chicken on sizzling plate. Sashimi didn’t taste fresh like we’re used to in Seattle, but the curry chicken was even better than the ones in Honolulu and Seattle. My teriyaki chicken on sizzling plate was perfect and not too salty. It was fun drizzling the sauce over the chicken & veggies. All entrees came with a small salad & miso soup which were also delicious. The katsu-don was also tasty good. We were pretty full afterward.
