Highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion. We booked in advance for a Friday night, as it’s quite a small restaurant, but we were the only ones there which meant we got to pick where we wanted to sit at the bar. The food was simple yet rich and the quality of the meat/seafood was great. On the pricer side compared to other local sushi restaurants, but it was a nice treat for a celebratory meal. The waitresses were friendly and the ambience in the restaurant was nice too

Possibly the most authentic Japanese food I’ve had in the UK. The food is delicious and fabulously well presented and the setting of the restaurant is excellent; very small, but feels just right for the experience.
It’s not somewhere you go for a quick bite, it’s more of the centrepiece of the evening.

On a day trip to Portsmouth i was struggling to find a place for lunch and then ended up in this fancy place for a quick bite and was very impressed. The ambience was quite relaxing with soothing music and the service was lovely.
The stir fried udon was made to perfection and the iced lemon tea was refreshing.
Overall the food is authentic and the restaurant will give you proper Japanese vibes.

Even if the food is 10/10 (which definitely isn’t especially the sushi), I wouldn’t come here ever again because of how badly that asian lady (I think she’s the manager) treats her staff and humiliates them. Honestly I hope you’re reading this review and start being a nice person.

This is our new favourite Japanese Sushi restaurant in the area. We sat at the counter where we could watch the incredible chefs prepare the fresh sushi.
The sushi was the best that we have ever had in the UK. The attention to detail and presentation of each dish was spectacular. Incredible food with fantastic service.
We went all out with the Wagyu beef and the Lobster and Mango Sushi which was out of the world. We did not try any of the hot dishes but from what we saw around the restaurant they looked amazing. Make sure that you book a table in advance, not surprisingly it was full when we were there.
