My family and I had such a great experience at Yukai Japanese & Seafood Buffet! The food was fresh, flavorful, and there was such a wide variety to choose from — everything from sushi to seafood to classic comfort dishes, so there’s truly something for everyone.

The service was excellent — staff were attentive, friendly, and kept everything clean and well-stocked without us ever having to ask. The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting, with plenty of space and a relaxed vibe that made it easy to enjoy the meal.

I definitely understand why this is voted “The Best Buffet in Virginia — by Yahoo Travel!” It lives up to the hype.

This was probably one of the best Japanese buffets my girl and I have ever been to. The crab legs were so good and always stocked. The flounder was definitely the best I have ever had and the sushi was phenomenal. Highly recommend this place and the staff were super friendly and very accommodating.

The manager is amazing with customers. I asked her to change my seating location in the restaurant, and she responded immediately. The food is very clean, especially at the sushi bar. I love this buffet and even come all the way from Yorktown, VA, just for it!

Normally when we visit Virginia Beach, we go to a fancier (more expensive) restaurant. This year, we wanted to try something different, so we came here — and now this place will be our new go-to spot whenever we come to Virginia Beach. Highly recommended for everyone!

Great affordable buffet with great options! Wide range of selections including sashimi, hibachi, oysters, and crabs. Great value for the 23 dollars we paid. We went 1 hour before closing and there were still good options. There were some dishes that had ran out, but there were still plenty of sushi a ton of seafood, which was good enough for us! Other than the sushi and other seafood, the hot dishes were sort of bland. But overall, I enjoyed the food and ate a lot! Our server was also really nice and had a nice conversation with us! Decor was also quaint but a touch old (given this place has been around for a long time). Overall decent buffet of great value with delicious seafood! Great place!

This has been THEEEE absolute WORST experience! From the food to the service to the PRICES, I am utterly disgusted, disappointed and down right MAD that I paid a total of $34.33 for some horrible food! First of all, the waitress wasn’t very nice. Her tone showed she was aggravated that she had to host a large party. There was 10 of us, 5 of them being children. We ordered our drinks and went to the food bar. I browsed through and didn’t see much of anything I liked. The food was not fresh, a lot of food looked like it had been sitting for a long time. I got basic stuff like rice because the seafood looked HORRID! From the shrimp to the crab legs with no seasoning, to the salmon that didn’t taste like salmon at all. They have the audacity to have a sign to say “Please only take what you can eat”. The food is NASTY! That’s why it’s being wasted!!! After eating sushi I went to the Habatchi bar and OH EM GEE!! If CROSS CONTAMINATION WAS A HABATCHI BAR! Raw chicken in the noodles, raw shrimp in the already cooked and mushy broccoli, raw beef in the mushrooms, and when he was gathering the trays, WITHOUT GLOVES, to refill the food, he just threw the meat tongs in where the vegetables were and went into the kitchen, WITHOUT GLOVES! When he came back out WITHOUT GLOVES HE THREW THE TONGS IN THE RAW MEAT THE HANDLE PART INSIDE THE RAW MEAT! Like……….i am so sick typing this, i swear the health department needs to go in there and shut that nasty mess down! I encourage you all who may be lookin at the pictures, thinking how delicious the food looks, like I did, and actually considering going to this place, ABORT MISSION NEEEOW! It’s not worth the THOUGHT let alone the visit…In my opinion of course. If u do go, I send prayers to your digestive and immune system….because eating here is risky business. And isn’t it ILLEGAL to charge a “merchant fee” because I’m using my card? Somebody call the AUTHORITIES!

If you not from that area just do yourself a favor and stay away. Food was garbage honestly. Habatchi was dry as a desert. The food wasn’t cooked evenly so some cabbage was hard and some was super tender. Buffet selection is minimal and it didn’t look or taste appetizing. The service was below tier, we were checked on 1 time and by that time we wanted the check. The atmosphere was full of what I’m assuming to be Philippians or some nationality of the sort. Respectfully. It wasn’t terrible but it’s definitely one of the worse buffets that I’ve personally been too. Try at your own risk

Yeah I’d probably pass on this. We were going to Capt. George’s but the line was too long. So we choose here because of the ratings were better. Well we were disappointed. It’s mediocre at best. The food was bland and the service was great! All the staff were nice but the food was lacking. We were really disappointed but the price was reasonable so you get what you pay for I guess. I will not be returning but to each its own. It just didn’t do it for me. Very basic and not really a lot of seafood selection more sushi (not very good sushi) than anything.
