Reviews
Service: Our waiter was a little slow however it was a little busy so not his fault! He was very attentive in refilling our water and was super friendly.
Atmosphere: I liked the cherry blossom tree when you first go in; however when you go towards the rest of the restaurant its is very bland. With one small picture frame hanging on the center of the walls, the ceiling and floor marbling does not fit with the style at all. Overall it was a good experience because of the food tasting so good 100% worth the price!!! Definitely a good restaurant to go on a date with or a great food experience.
We ordered spicy miso ramen, chicken katsu ramen, kids hibachi chicken lunch, and crab rangoons. Both ramens were and the chicken katsu ramen even came with a huge katsu side, not just a few strips on top of the ramen. The broths were so creamy, flavorful, and the noodles were absolutely perfect – bouncy, slightly chewy, and not soggy at all.
Our waiter, Tom, was so attentive and friendly. He asked our kids how old they were and discovered our oldest would turn 4 years old tomorrow and that we were celebrating his birthday lunch. Tom surprised him with a slice of cheesecake that was creamy and delicious. He was very thoughtful and sang happy birthday to our son. I cropped a pic of them for privacy, but he was seriously an awesome waiter!
All around , 5 ⭐, and we can’t wait to go again and try more from their large menu!
This is truly one of the best places I’ve discovered in Illinois for Japanese food. The flavors are absolutely delicious—authentic, rich, and perfectly balanced. Every dish tastes fresh and carefully prepared, making the entire dining experience unforgettable.
The restaurant itself is very spacious, clean, and comfortable, creating a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy your meal. Whether you come with family or friends, the place feels welcoming and never cramped.
Thank you for serving such amazing Japanese food and for delivering such a wonderful dining experience. This place truly satisfied my craving for delicious Japanese cuisine. Highly recommended, and I will definitely come back again!
Menu Highlights
Signature Ramen: The Spicy Beef Short Ribs Ramen is the standout, featuring tender, fall-off-the-bone ribs and a deep, flavorful broth. The Tonkotsu Ramen is also highly rated for its 24-hour scratch-made pork broth.
Sushi & Appetizers: The menu offers daily-crafted sushi, though early patrons suggest the ramen is the primary draw over the standard rolls. Must-try appetizers include the crispy takoyaki and yakitori pork belly skewers.
Family Value: Kids’ meals (chicken ramen or hibachi) are generous for their price, offering a healthier alternative for families.
Atmosphere & Experience
Vibe: The setting is casual and family-friendly, though some early visitors noted “opening month” operational kinks, such as slower service during peak times or repetitive background music.
Service: Generally described as passionate and welcoming, with owners often present on the floor to engage with guests.
There was a good amount of seafood in the ramen and the broth was so delicious. I would have it again for sure.
My wife said the Chicken Teriyaki was pretty good.
