The restaurant has a great vibe, but it’s a little misleading. The atmosphere makes you expect more than what you actually get. The food is pretty basic, and the portions are small for the prices they charge.
If you pay with a credit card, there’s also a 3% fee added, which is something to be aware of.
The service was quick, but it was somewhat limited and not very attentive. Overall, the place looks great, but the food and value didn’t quite live up to the setting.

This place can’t be beat! Ian tried, but failed miserably. They came back better than before! The food, drinks, atmosphere are fantastic! The shrimp are killer! Drinks are tasty. Live music! What more can you ask??

Not going to lie, this is a great spot right near the beach. I’ve been here a few times and the food, service, and portion sizes are usually good. My last visit sucked. The shrimp tacos had very small pieces of shrimp and still left me hungry. The sweet potato fries were cold, and my soda was flat. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their food, but our waiter seemed uninterested and like he didn’t want to be there. I’d still come back just wouldn’t order the shrimp tacos again and I’m hoping my next visit is better.

Yucatan Bar & Grill Ft Myers Beach
Stopped by on a Wednesday afternoon. Got a table fast and our waiter Quinton was on the ball with our drinks. I ordered the Clam Chowder for appetizer and we both ordered the Grouper Sandwich Blackened with Coleslaw, and my wife got the Rice & Beans. Our Clam Chowder came out first and it was very good I loved it. My Grouper Sandwich came out but somehow, they gave up my wife’s Grouper Sandwich to someone else as explained by Quinton. He did say they were making another one for her as fast as they could. Mine was about halfway done when hers came out. These Sandwiches were huge and very good with all the fixing on them. We both could barely eat the entire meal and in fact we left with a doggy bag. The food here is very good and this place has such a great vibe it just feels like Ft Myers Beach for sure. I must give this place 5 out of 5 stars.

We love this food and drink stop in FMB! Great service, super friendly people, and such a fun atmosphere. The outdoor seating is perfect, and the swings at the bar make it a must-stop spot. A relaxed, island vibe with good food and drinks—exactly what you want while in Fort Myers Beach.

It was outside service only as the inside had too much damage. They worked to keep guest happy. They served a limited menu, and drinks without ice. There was a musician that played by the hum of generators. It was resiliency that deserved respect.

My fiancé, two teens and myself ate here for lunch today after kayaking and let me tell you this way by far our favorite dining experience. Our waiter Jesse was phenomenal. Funny, kind and on the ball. The food came out quick and was absolutely delicious. The teriyaki pineapple bowl was outta this world and so fresh. My one son loved the sweet potato waffle fries and my other said the quesadilla cheese pull was FIRE such a great place. Cute little birds walking around all over. Highly recommend

Super fun place by the beach. They have their own free parking but its small, so get there early.
One outdoor, one indoor bar, both with dining areas. The outdoor is pretty sweet, its all rope chairs that hang from ceiling.
Food is very good. I enjoyed their wings and charbroiled oysters.
Aharon, the bartender outside, is a superstar. Witty, on point, funny. I highly recommend stopping in here if you’re in the Ft. Myers beach area.

I must say that we were disappointed this visit. I didn’t find it appropriate that the staff were opening shipping boxes of clothes right in the middle of the dining area during lunch. Also, is it too much to pay for streaming music so we don’t have to listen to commercials. You can do, and have done, so much better.
UPDATE 1/7/26: Had dinner here again tonight, and I can sum it up as “HOT AND COLD.” The grouper was great… as it usually is. Portion sizes are respectable here and keep us coming back. Yet, the green beans tasted as they were out of the can. Meh!
Music still included commercials, but the atmosphere was lively. Just a few tweaks, and they’ll have nailed it. The atmosphere is great… especially for an establishment so close to the action.
We’ll be back… just hopeful for some extra attention to the details. Family meals are very important to me, and I spend a lot of time choosing the restaurant and experience for my family.

This is the only place I’ll eat on the Island because you can get seafood boils and Mexican street corn its the best I’ve had in a long time, I got 2 orders..
They have the best bar seating on the whole Island, some seats are old boat chairs while on the other side they have swinging rope chairs at the bar.
Our waitress Lilly was great and on point! She was always checking to see if we need anything.. She’s awesome!!!…

Where to start!?! The atmosphere is incredible! My wife and 2 young kids ate here 2 times during our 4 day beach stay. The kids LOVED the sharks and fish hanging everywhere! Kept them entertained the whole time. The food was incredible. I got the oysters both times as a starter and then the grouper and the snapper. Couldn’t have been happier with how everything tasted! Will 100% be coming back here
