We had an underwhelming experience at Yuca. The service was extremely slow (it took nearly 2 hours for brunch) and the food was all very average. The menu looked mouth watering but every plate (there were 5 of us) was just average. Nothing wrong, nothing to tempt us come back for more.

The two things that stood out was the fries were super yummy and the coffee cocktails were delicious! We may have to come back just for a side of fries and a coffee drink!

I personally had the Big Bad Wolf and was bummed at how little Pork Belly was in the dish. The pieces were so small that you could barely taste them.

I travel alot.. always looking for something / someplace out of the ordinary.
Found it !
I had the “Big Bad Wolf”.
NOT your grandma’s waffle !
I’ve never had a “spicey” waffle before.. but will again if I come back to the area. The combination of meats, waffle, mild spiceyness and the sweetness of the syrup are a great combination.

Yuca is a great restaurant to have in Bellevue. Always had excellent food. They don’t have a huge menu, but there is a balance of latin flavors and some traditional options (e.g. waffles). My only complaint is that the service has been slow a couple times we were there—best for a leisurely weekend brunch. We have taken our kids there once, but the dining room is on the smaller side, so just something to keep in mind if you’re considering bringing a group or family with kids.

Delicious!!!! We ate here for the first time today and we are so impressed. This is nice and cozy restaurant but there’s plenty of seating, and the food was so so so yummy! We ordered the biscuit bowl and the big bad wolf, both were so tasty. We can’t wait to come back. Heather was our server and she was super nice and made sure we had everything we needed! 10/10 recommend Yuca!!!

Brunch was awesome! The food had a Latin twist and was delicious. The ingredients were all high quality.

They also have an expansive Tequila and Mezcal selection that will have to be tried another time! The interior of the restaurant was fresh and vibrant. They also gave each female customer a freshly cut rose – classy touch.

A private back room looks like it would work for a larger group. I liked the old school Magnificent Seven picture in that room.

The food is great, and the price is comparable to other local restaurants but the service isn’t the best. You will be waiting 90 minutes for your order so bring someone worth talking to if you do eat here. In the entire 90+ minutes waiting for my food a server did not refill my drink once. Just to have our order taken was a 25 minute wait. This would be ok if we had drink refills once in a while. The staff are visibly over burdened. The staff are friendly when you do get a minute with one. But waiting over an hour for a waffle is kind of silly.

Got an outdoor table on a beautiful summer day. The menu is bigger in person than the website shows. It’s still not huge, but everything is fresh and handmade. The food is delish. The Diablo bloody Mary was awesome. I ordered it slightly less hot than my husband, but I would have been fine at ‘full strength.’ they don’t have a kids menu, but they have an A la carte menu that is perfect for kiddos. Their candied bacon is amazing The only downside was they were pretty slow. We assume that is because it’s all fresh made. However, it did make it a tad harder to dine with a 7 year old, as she was hungry and getting impatient. But we will be back to try more!

First time here and everything was very tasty. The service was fast and friendly. I was expecting it to be a little more expensive but it was reasonably priced.

We were on our way to First Watch for breakfast when we decided to try something new.
Checked the reviews and we were here. Such a GREAT choice as you walk in and it’s just fresh, clean, pretty and it is just welcoming.

We had friendly, fun service with a waiter that offered real tips on how we should order based on what we said we liked. his suggestion was the Venezuelan filet and eggs. Definitely go with the suggestion as it was amazing! The steak was perfectly cooked and there is just so much flavor! I stupidly asked for ketchup for the potatoes and my advice would be to wait and see as you will likely waste it because there is too much flavor that you will destroy by adding ketchup. Our ketchup went untouched.

I don’t like over easy eggs but I wanted to try the dish as they serve it and the waiter encouraged that and for good reason as the flavors are paired perfectly and the moisture from the egg is needed and really good.

We also ordered their guacamole, salsa , ghost pepper queso appetizer with chips and I can’t say enough good things about the chips. Hot, freshly made with perfect amount of salt… I loved the guacamole and the queso because there was a ton of flavor and both salsas were good but I found myself going for the guac more often :). My husband loved it all! The hot salty chips with the cold, flavorful guacamole was just amazing!

We love first watch and part of the reason we switched and went to Yuca as we are in the middle of a move and he NEEDS his coffee and first Watch has the worst coffee. I chose to take us here so I was hoping the coffee was amazing and it was. He couldn’t stop raving about it and he drank 3 cups.

Definitely give it a shot!

My first visit to Yuca was a great experience. Friendly staff, historic building, neat decor, flavorful food, and delicious beverages. I brought my mum here and she enjoyed it as well. I’ll definitely be back to try some more of the menu!
