One of the best sushi spots in Victoria.
The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, and they offer a wide selection of Japanese cuisine.
The service was lovely and very professional. I also highly recommend their takeout — some of the best value for incredibly fresh fish. We got their large tray this time, but I usually just order simple maki or rolls and they absolutely do them justice every time.

I’ve been a long time customer with Yua bistro and genuinely everything about it. From the food to the service, they prioritize quality. I’ve never had a bad experience here, they seriously are one of the best sushi restaurants in town. The prices are fair, the workers are so knowledgeable and kind, the food is the best. Thank you for being so welcoming and accomadating with my friends and I. We are always so happy to come back.

Excellent Food, Room for Service Improvement
No complaints about the food—it was outstanding and among the highest standards we’ve experienced in Canada.
The only area for improvement would be the attentiveness of the service. For example, we weren’t provided soy sauce with our sushi (we had to ask for it), and one server was unfamiliar with what Shichimi was. Small details like these can make a big difference in the overall dining experience.
That said, the quality of the dishes truly impressed us, and we look forward to returning for another great meal.

Dropped by for lunch and supposedly happy hour but they apparently close in the afternoon (not sure when they stay open for that menu). Tried the spicy roll lunch teishoku as recommended but found the roll underwhelming. Nonetheless, interiors were nice and staff were friendly. Would consider going back to try other items.

First time visiting Victoria and picked this restaurant because of the good reviews. It was such a great choice! Compared to sushi restaurant in Vancouver, it’s way better value, super fresh, and really tasty. The cozy vibe and super friendly staff made it even better. I’ll definitely come back the next time I’m in Victoria!

My friend and I thought this was new as we hadn’t noticed it before, immediately drew us in and we had an amazing meal. The fish has amazing quality, very fresh and delicious. The katsu was huge and absolutely delicious. Will be returning.

What a treat! Not only did we manage to snag a table on possibly one of the busiest days of the year in Chinatown with the festival and parade, but it was a fabulous surprise with fantastic food and so beautifully presented! For sure we will be back

Amazing experience! The manager is so friendly and helpful. Our food was awesome, and please don’t leave without tasting the house Sake, they have great taste on their selection. The atmosphere is busy but dynamic and the service is awesome! Kudos to the staff for being so efficient! They are fast!
