It’s not too often that I get out this way to enjoy a delicious cheesesteak hoagie from Gabriel’s, in Ypsilanti, and it never disappoints! I just had one, of the provolone steak variety, and because I’m a fungi who likes things spicy, I always add mushrooms and that spicy pepper relish. This is an old-school place that does things simple, and that’s all you really need. Friendly, down to earth staff, as well. Cheers!

Definitely in the top for best cheesesteaks! They only offer a couple of things and have been around forever because they have nailed it. Always a favorite when I am visiting my family in town.

When traveling near the area, We always stop in and grab a steak hoagie! So good! The place is clean, the food comes out fast, the staff is nice, overall great experience~ You order at the counter, and the food comes out, you then find a seat. You can leave your trash at the table, they clean up. This place can be a busy at times but again, food comes out very fast! 🙂

Great cheese steak awaits you at Gabriel’s in Ypsilanti, MI! A staple of the area since the 1950s, don’t be fooled by this little establishment, they serve hot, fresh and well prepared cheese steak sandwiches all day long! Easily seen from the roadside with its bright yellow exterior, Gabriel’s has been known to get busy at times, but don’t get discouraged, service is fast and friendly! If you’re visiting the Ypsilanti area be sure to try Gabriel’s!
