Went there for evening ice cream and found a cute little shop. Friendly and quick service and tasty ice cream. Plenty of flavor choices. Great location right on waterfront park. Love getting ice cream and then a walk on the boardwalk or sit in the ample seating also close to the kid’s playground. Sure to be a family favorite.

Worst Experience Ever! November 3rd, 2025 5:30 pm.
We stopped at the standalone location. There was no employee visible. We waited 10 minutes, knocked on the door of the enclosed room, and shouted, “Hello.” No response.
So, we walked up to the Bay Street location. When we entered, we said hello, but the girl behind the counter never looked up from her phone, never acknowledged us, and remained focused on it. We walked out.
We returned to the waterfront location, and after calling out, a girl walked out of the back room. We said that we had called, and she said she had never heard anyone. I asked for the owner’s name and phone number, but she said she didn’t know. It was “Richard Somebody”. At this point, we were so disgusted with the service that we walked out. You lost a sale for four people, plus whoever else walked into an empty store.
If “Richard Someone” is reading this, I understand that finding good help is difficult. Help that ignores the customer in favor of their phones, or is in the back room doing who knows what. I could have easily walked out with the cash register. Your employees are worse than no help at all. If you can’t find reasonably qualified employees, close. You will be better off. We frequent Beaufort and will NEVER go back to YoYo’s. We will encourage everyone we know to avoid your establishment as well.
I would be more than happy to discuss our experience with the owner, “Richard Somebody”. Just drop me an email or give me a call.

I visited the YoYo’s along the waterfront recently. After purchasing $30 of ice cream for my family, I asked for a cup of water, which I was charged $1.00. Ok, that’s a little more than I expected to be charged, but I was fine with it. The day I visited the heat index was over 100 degrees. I went back in to refill my water cup and was told there are no free refills on water. I was shocked by this policy, after I already paid for the cup. What does it cost YoYo’s to allow me to refill my cup, nothing to a few pennies. The employees at YoYo’s were also not empowered to make decisions on their own to ensure their customers receive great customer service. I reviewed all the Google reviews and I don’t see one review where the owner has responded to any review, positive or negative. This clearly indicates to me that the owner of YoYo’s does not value or appreciate their customers’ business.

Great location in the park! I ordered 1 scoop of ice cream when I went and thought it was a bit pricey, but “1 scoop” is actually way more ice cream than I was expecting. I highly recommend splitting with someone if you only want a little bit. You get what you pay for though!
Great customer service overall.

We stopped today and bought ice cream for 6 people. It is 96 degrees, feels like 106 with an extreme heat warning. We asked for cups for water, they charge $1 each which makes perfect sense to cover the cost of the cup. We went in to refill one of the cups with water and were told no refills. I went in and explained that we have 2 people in their 80s that are very hot and could we refill the water, the manager on duty (Dav) was very rude and said she didn’t care, no refills. Definitely not a business I want to support. We have been coming here for years but never again.

We got a double scoop from the shack in the back near the water. They sell Hershey’s ice cream, icees, Nathan’s hot dogs, etc from there. Double scoop in a cup was $6+

If I could rate the the yoyo shop by the water a negative 100 I would. I felt so threatened and offended by them I really hope they get their karma. I just wanted ice cream and they were so rude. Horrible customer service

One spot on the street and another close to the water. Your basic ice cream spot that cools you off on a hot day.

This placed saved our lunch stop on the way to Georgia! After ordering sandwiches at Hemingway’s down the road and waiting for almost 40 minutes with a cranky puppy, it became apparent that they had forgotten our order so we left. We walked down the promenade and found YoYo’s – what a strike of good luck! Ordered two hot dogs, some tasty ice creams and even got a puppy cup of vanilla ice cream for free – within minutes we were enjoying our lunch at a table outside! Super friendly service with a smile, definitely put the smile back on our faces too! And puppy was in heaven 🙂

Go, go, YoYo! You only go around once and you really work hard. You deserve a little treat. It’s really hot out and it would be nice to cool down a bit. The diet can wait. You’re on vacation.
Pick your reason and treat Yo self!
Beautiful location to sit and ahhhh.
