This was my first time at Your Place and that evening I was craving a hot bowl of comforting soup. I had liked at their menu ahead of time so I knew specifically what I was going there for. I was seated to my table and looked at the menu but couldn’t find the item I had in mind to order. I asked the waiter if they had any soup with duck and he referred me to the soup section, of which the item I wanted was not there… and he said they didn’t have any soup with duck. I was ready to leave due to my persistent craving when I decided to peek at every page looking for options and that’s when I found it listed under noodles. The item is Noodle Soup Combo.. with duck, squid and shrimps, exactly as my taste buds were looking for. So tasty Cravings satisfied!

This review is based on a delivery order. I have heard this is the best Thai restaurant in Santa Barbara. I was upset to see that the Pad Thai and Pad Woon Sen were dry and had little to no flavor. We had to add our own sauces to make it more flavorful. We also ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp for a $3 up charge (not a big deal) but for a $24 dish to have 5 shrimp or less was upsetting. One of my favorite dishes is Thai Basil Squid (Seafood) extra spicy…. It was extra spicy but again there was no flavor besides spice. Very upsetting for the cost- we have had similarly sized dishes in other cities for half the price with much more seafood/flavor. Maybe it is different in the restaurant and we will try it once more to see if the chefs had “an off day”.

Summary:
– Use the restaurant’s website for reference photos instead of Yelp/Google’s
– Food: delicious, flavorful
– Ambiance: charming & lively decor, reminds me of Thailand
– Service: Attentive, food came out quickly
– Thai & family owned

Food (pictured):
– Pad thai + chicken (4.5/5)
– Spicy eggplant with basil + beef (4/5); ask for their sauces, it helped elevate the beef
– Garlic almond shrimp (5/5); garlic fans will love this
– Mango sticky rice (4.5/5)

Food not pictured:
– Pa-nang curry (4/5)
– Seafood soup (3.5); broth needed more fish sauce/seafood flavor

Best Thai in town. Real authentic Thai with delicious fresh ingredients and very nice staff. Hard to find real Thai in this town but this is your spot. Large menu with offerings for all tastes. Really delicious and winner of best Thai in town for decades. The duck, soups and fish dishes are phenomenal.

Super kind staff, Tom Kha soup was out of this world good, and the ginger honey tea had the perfect amount of ginger kick to it. Whole meal was packed with healthy, healing ingredients. 10/10 recommend!

Hello,

This is a bit of a long shot but I ordered the garlic green beans yesterday and the sauce was incredible! It was exactly the sauce for a version of a dish called Manchurian I once had back in my hometown in India. I’ve been looking for a recipe for it for years but can’t find it as I don’t know what it’s called.

If you don’t mind, could I please have the recipe or the name for the sauce for the garlic string beans?

Thank you!

Had a great time at this place (Your Place :p). Great food, service, atmosphere. One of the best Thai places in town located in a small unassuming building. I had a “hot” curry, but didn’t really notice spices at all. Tasty but not spicy. No worries there.

Delicious! Loved the papaya salad; it was such a unique and tasty flavor with a bit of sugar. The drunken noodle spicy dish with beef was also absolutely delicious and flavorful, but the beef itself was pretty low quality. The tofu pad Thai was not very good as it wasn’t very flavorful but still, the other 2 dishes were absolutely amazing.

We actually ended up visiting here 3 times because the drunken noodles and papaya salad were so delicious!
