YMH hosted our 20th class reunion and let me just say: WOW!!! The venue was absolutely gorgeous, the food was amazing and service was fantastic. Brent and his team did an A+ job from decor and setup to charcuterie and lunch. I cannot say enough great things about our experience and cannot wait to host another soon!

Huge venue, the tomahawk was very tasty and cooked as ordered. We ordered a cheese board, it was delivered with the waitress not knowing what was actually on it. So we tasted and guessed what were eating. The fries were good. There was no drink list at all. The waitress was friendly, yet she lacked experience commensurate with pricing. YMJ has potential, if management makes an effort to retain and train staff.

We made a reservation for 7pm for Valentines day with our friends who drove 1 and a half hours to meet us for dinner. They had a limited menu for Valentines and all the food sounded amazing. We arrived at 0630pm and sat at the bar waiting for our table. We waited at least 15-20 minutes before someone took our drink order. While we were sitting at the bar, we could hear numerous people complaining of the long wait time. A little after seven o’clock, I noticed people walking in that did not have reservations we’re being tended to. I calm and walked over and requested our table since we had a seven o’clock reservation and it was past time. The wait staff and hostess were very kind and sat us at the first table. We sat for 45 minutes and no one had even come over to bring us water or take our order. I had to get up and find a waitress to tend to us. The waitresses replied that they didn’t realize we had not been tended to. After another 10 minutes or so a waitress came over and very apologetically took our order. Our drinks came out minutes later with some bread… but our appetizer did not come out for over an hour later.

Beings it was Valentines Day I would have imagined some music playing, but it was dead silent. While the place is beautiful, no music kind of killed the ambiance. Instead we listened to MULTIPLE tables complaining and yelling at the waitresses over the long wait time. Many people walked out without eating. We decided to stay since there really wasn’t anything else open except the Dandy. Our dinner did not come out until 10:40pm. Again, our reservation was made for 7 and we got there at 6:30pm. Looking back on last year’s reviews I can see that they still need work on customer service and timely dinner reservations.

We had made reservations for 14, including kids. When we arrived, our tables had not been set up. We waited for 15-20 minutes to be seated. There was a “Special Menu” that was told to us verbally. The main menu offered 3 salads, soups, entrees, and sides. Steaks were from $60 – $92. We ordered 2 appetizers, bacon wrapped scallops, and shrimp.

We got our drinks within 10 minutes. And then we waited…and waited…and waited..over an hour and half. The scallops came out as well as the soups. Soup was lukewarm at best. The waitress told us that they were out of shrimp when she brought the scallops, which were burnt to the point we left 2 on the platter. I ordered a salad that was served over an hour and 45 minutes later. No entrees came out. We went up to speak to the manager. We had reached the point that we and our kids were starving, and we were no longer willing to wait.

My understanding is that this is a new establishment. There is work to be done in how the guests are greeted and treated, the efficiency of the kitchen, the quality of, in my opinion, overpriced, food.

My husband and I stopped for dinner after driving past. He frequented the old Mountain House Inn back in the day so wanted to try it. The building is quite amazing, most impressive but the rest of the experience was mediocre at best. The whole place feels like it isn’t sure what it should be; a live music venue? A bar? A high end restaurant? An event venue? Due to this, the place has a strange feel to it. But that was ok, it’s trying to find its place. What wasn’t ok was the price of the food for what you got. We really wanted to love it, but the food wasn’t great. My husband had the burger which was small and over cooked with a side of fries and a pile of iceberg lettuce. It was ok but we expected more for $18. I had the beef tips for $22, served over rice which was so very salty I didn’t eat it. I brought it home to add more ingredients to make it palatable. I told the server that and she said “ok, I’ll get you a box”. It didn’t come with any sides, I would’ve had to pay extra for those. I think if you want to charge thes kind of prices, the service and food needs to be better.
I honestly think they should drop the attempt to be a high end restaurant and stick to being a venue, with pub food. Having the expensive restaurant as part of the larger venue, and with mediocre food just isn’t working.

WOW… what a place! This establishment is beautiful! The owner Def didn’t skip on any details.. amazing! Leather bound menus and receipt book, even leather placemats! The food was fantastic! First, you get complimentary housemade seasoned chips…Delicious!! We ordered Kids 4oz Filet and Kids Chicken Fingers, Prime Tips over rice, and a YMH Burger. We can’t wait to come back! Kudos to the owners and the amazing chefs!

Update: They block any people that give an honest poor review on their Facebook page instead of addressing their inadequacy. And they also have deleted ALL reviews on Facebook. Very unprofessional. Save your money and don’t bother with this establishment

Stopped in for the first time to check this place out. We thought we would try the bar food before splurging on the dinner menu. My friend ordered the YMH burger. It was supposed to have arugula, crispy onions and cheese. It came out with just cheese. Our waitress caught it and sent it back before it was put down in front of us. It came back with crispy onions but no arugula. . We were hungry so didn’t want to send it back again so just took it as is. I ordered the black and blue salad. It looked great when it came out but the steak was super, super rare, as in barely seared on the outside but cold and totally raw and lots of gristle. Needless to say, we will not be returning to try anything else. If you can’t get a burger and a salad right……….
I’m perplexed that the owners never address the poor reviews and wonder what their business plan is moving forward. I guess it will just be a huge tax writeoff
1st photo is at YMH. 2nd is part of what I brought home for my dog

Sunday brunch was delicious and reasonably priced. The place is beautiful inside and the pictures don’t do it justice. Our service couldn’t have been better. This was my first time visiting the new place. So many nice touches in the decor, you have to see it

Wow what a place!!! I thought I walked into a main street bar in Nashville. The big guitar outside is a great indicator that it’s really cool inside.

My ribeye along with the wedge salad was over the top as was the fillet my friend decided on. I enjoyed watching him struggle trying to finish his big steak with fries & asparagus. We waddeled out of YMH with a big belly of food & a big smile.

The staff really did well with making us wanting to come back for more!

Is it cheap…no, but I’m worth it!!
Is it a neat place…..heck yea!

Thanx YMH & Staff
