I had a family get together last night to celebrate my birthday and chose this location as I am a fan of their lo mein. I put the order in around 6:50 pm. Grub hub stated the restaurant received it and was working on it. By 8:30 pm we received no further updates and no one was answering the phone at the restaurant.
A family member ended up driving there only to find out it was closed. We really felt Your Kitchen Express AND Grub hub dropped the ball on this. Wasted a lot of time.
Grub hub however corrected it on their end. I really hope no one else has to be mislead like this. I don’t think I will be ordering from here ever again. Just wasn’t a great situation.
My husband and I live in the area, so we were looking for a good chinese restaurant to go to. Although they are not always open when were craving chinese, the customer service is awesome everytime weve ordered. The owners are awesome. When they see us coming in they usually throw in a little extra for us.
We are definitely repeat customers.
We usually order the ginger beef, fried rice anything with shrimp.
I placed my order on Grubhub. The restaurant came up as a new addition that I thought I would give a try. I ordered a lunch special and a strawberry kiwi smoothie.
First I get a call I could tell was from the restaurant so I answered it, it was a gentleman telling me that they were out of kiwi for my smoothie. I told him that just strawberry was fine. I understand places run out of stuff, then he tells me that instead of the three dollars Grubhub charged me for delivery it was now going to be five because my work location is so far away. I said “well Grubhub said that you deliver to my area and they only charged me three” So he said he’d leave it for this time, but next time it’d be 5.
Next I get a call from a number I do not recognize, I am at work, so I decline the call, thinking it was a solicitor. They hung up on my voicemail and then called immediately back, not leaving another voicemail. Then they text me and just say “hi”. After that I get three calls and no voicemails from an unknown number. After checking further I discover it is indeed the restaurant calling me back. This time with their number blocked. So I called back and talked to the same guy as before. He said “yeah I was calling to find out where you were” Apparently the driver was sitting right outside my office building. I am the receptionist so I was confused stating no one had come in. He claims his delivery guy is there. I said “nope” So this guy had been sitting outside waiting for me to come out and get my delivery, which would have been fine if he’d identified himself somehow via voicemail or even the text message. there was no indication of who he was. The building I work in is public, so he could have come in to ask as well. I found the whole situation to be unprofessional, and will most likely not be using this establishment again, which is such a shame because the food was rather good.
