Place looks run down – wasn’t even sure if it was open based on how it looked. Customer service wasn’t very nice. Took over 30 minutes to receive our order – we were the only customers there. Shredded Chicken sandwich was served cold. Never been to an ice cream place that doesn’t offer sprinkles lol! Milkshakes tasted like pure milk with no ice cream flavor.

I’ve been visiting youngs since I was a kid.
Same ownership, same great food, shakes, and ice cream .
Shredded Chicken, Fries, and Peanut Butter milkshake always my go-to. Great soft serve cones seem to be less and less of a thing.
Reasonable prices, fantastic food.
Service is somewhat slow. She’s slinging it mostly by herself, but it’s always well worth the wait.
Plentiful parking, limited seating, just two picnic tables, prepare to take it with you or eat in the car as it gets crowded. This isn’t different from many small business owned dairy shacks.
Open seasonal.

This place is absolutely PHENOMENAL!!! We are neighbors to Young’s Ice cream, & go there just about every day, yet we STILL never get tired of it! She is open on most days Mon-Sun. Open from 12 to 8. Sometimes there may be a decent sized line, & a bit of a wait, considering she’s the only one running the place.. but it’s totally worth it! Her foods are all reasonably priced, she has a very wide variety of selections, she will never screw up your order, & all her foods are absolutely TO DIE FOR!! There is free parking. Plenty of parking spots. However, there’s only 2 picnic tables outside to eat at.. But let’s be realistic.. Who’s gonna want to sit at the picnic tables in the hot summer sun, to eat your ice cream any how?! Take it to your car, turn the radio on, kick on the a/c, & enjoy your food! Always make sure to remember to tip the lady! She works so hard, all on her own, & she is so dedicated!!! I’m sure any normal person could agree that tips for her are certainly well deserved!!!!!! All 5 stars from me, & my family! For sure!

Rude and impatient server (after 1 question about food toppings), very thin straws for very thin milkshakes (1 straw stabbed threw the side of my cup while driving), my “footlong hotdog” was just 2 hotdogs in a footlong bun that I wasn’t informed of (and a personal bias, I like shredded cheese on my hotdogs, not sliced), also they are closed on random days that aren’t updated online, you find out after driving there….

So I went to 3 shops today.
The 1st thought didn’t accept card? The 2nd one was closed?! HOWEVER
The 3rd one “Young’s” had a nice big line.
So i parked and got Rocky out, we went and stood in line. After about 5 minutes I noticed that the line had not moved. Than I seen the owner. A single person working the ice-cream shop. And from what I was seeing leave the window. She LOVES her job. Every cone was picture PERFECT!
So i waited in like for about 20 minutes and ordered the strawberry milkshake and rocky a vanilla Sunday and I was expecting her to put that red syrup into the cup but NO she in blending strawberrys right into it. I tell you what tho…. it was so damn good! Rocky loved his Sunday too. His was like a small bowl that had about 4 inches of soft serve sticking out of it.
I would definitely go there more often if it was closer to me.

Mrs. Young is such a wonderful person who loves her community. I’ve been getting my ice cream from her since I was a kid and now I take my kids. Twist cones are so good and they also have a great food selection. Velvet ice cream, sundaes, dipped cones.
Know that when you visit Young’s you not only get served well but with a big helping of love on the side.

Good old fashioned soft serve ice cream shop. They do have regular ice cream too, but I just love their soft serve. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable. I enjoy every visit!

Good soft serve ice cream for the kids at a great price. For under $5, I got two kids cones and one for me (twist) with extra napkins. A nice place to stop with a worker who understands a parent with two littles. They serve velvet ice cream as well but I went with the quick and easy soft serve.
