We loved our visit to Young’s! The chopped pork platter was delicious and came with generous portions of Brunswick stew, baked beans, and slaw—everything was full of flavor. Both the mild and hot BBQ sauces were fantastic, and the iced tea hit the spot. The owners were incredibly friendly and hospitable, which made the experience even better. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

This resturant is only 6 miles from my house, but for some reason it has flown under my radar for the past 11 years…until today. I was in the mood for BBQ so I picked up my trusty Google machine and searched, “BBQ restaurants near me” and there it was! I’m pretty sure I heard angels singing in the background. I live in the boonies. It takes me 20-25 minutes to get to the nearest grocery store. So, to have a BBQ place that close to me kinda blew my mind. I called my order in so I could pick it up and eat at home. Then I loaded Lulu (the best Labrador Retriever in the world) in the car and off we went. A mere 8 minutes later I was pulling into the parking lot of Young’s BBQ. I’ll cut to the chase. Not only do I have a BBQ resturant nearby, it turns out I have my favorite BBQ restaurant nearby! I ordered a BBQ pork plate with slaw and fries. Not only was the food outstanding, it was more than I could eat in one sitting. The pulled pork was smoked just right and the sauce didn’t overwhelm the meat. You can taste both. A lot of BBQ places haven’t figured that one out yet. And the cole slaw just might be the best I’ve ever had. (please don’t tell my wife I said that) Not only is the food just right, the owners were an absolute pleasure to deal with. When I handed her my debit card to pay I was informed that they only take cash. When I told her I didn’t have cash on me she told me I could just pay her next time I came in. Who does that sort of thing anymore? Salt of the earth types, that’s who does things like that! Good people. There’s a store next door with an ATM so I walked over and got cash to pay. I was so impressed with those two! Please go visit them. They are right in front of Sand Hill Elementary School. You will not be disappointed…

I grew up just a couple minutes away from this restaurant, as a little girl. My dad (chuckie mack) was close with the owner. We would always stop by for lunch/dinner. Like all the time. The owner being a friend of our and the family working always were so nice! The food is absolutely amazing. Best bbq I’ve ever had honestly. If you’re looking for a down to earth, amazing, bbq and atmosphere. This is THE place !!!!
