Decent Korean-Chinese option inside the HMart food court.
Stopped by a couple of times after grocery runs. I haven’t tried everything in the food court, but this was one of the two spots with the most reasonably priced menus. Their combo special includes a choice of noodle (jajang or jjambbong) plus a small side of fried pork or dumplings, and it’s still cheaper than many of the a la carte items elsewhere.
Food-wise, most of it was just fine. The noodles and tangsuyuk were about what you’d expect from a food court. The sauces and broth for the noodles didn’t have much umami, and the fried pork’s batter was too thick that I gave up eating after a couple of pieces. One thing I really liked was the dumplings. Super crisp and low-key one of the best fried dumplings I’ve had from a fast-casual spot like this.

I have visited this food court several times, and I particularly enjoy dining at Young Chow Loo, the Chinese restaurant.
The Jajangmyeon doesn’t quite have a professional taste, but the Jjampong is satisfying and definitely worth recommending.
The Tangsooyuk isn’t entirely satisfying but still decent enough to eat.
The Seafood Jajang platter appears to be a two-person portion—it’s incredibly large.
Overall, the dishes are rich in seafood and enjoyable.
The staff here are very friendly.
The biggest disadvantage is that it’s incredibly difficult to find a seat during lunch or dinner times.
You have to walk around, and when someone looks like they’re about to leave, you end up in a subtle competition with other waiting diners to secure the spot.

This is my go-to place whenever I visit H-Mart food court. We usually visit on weekends and the lady that’s always there is so friendly and nice. Very willing to provide extra pickled radishes or to go boxes, or whatever else we might need. It is a food court, and it can get busy, so I’d suggest getting here earlier if you want a table fast as it’s first come first server, like any food court.
We always get the half and half, whether it be jjajang-tangsooyook or jjamppong-jjajang or whatever else. The portions are great, as you can see in the photos. But the flavor is really good too. Especially on the jjamppong, we love the soup and the noodle. The soup has a kick to it without being overly spicy and has all the flavors of the ingredients infused into it. The noodle soaks up the soup nicely too. And there’s a ton of seafood in it as well. Whenever we can, we always get the fried dumplings or goonmandu as well and they are amazing. They are so crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. They pair really well with the food. The tangsooyook is also really good in that the sauce isn’t too sweet or tangy and the fried pork in it are also very crunchy.
We like this place much better than the one down in Boston, which works out since we can just shop at the H-Mart too (and pick up some delicious egg toast from Oh-K Dog to go).

I go there once a week to enjoy jajangmyeon, jjamppong, and tangsuyuk. Recently, I even tried their handmade dumplings. The jjamppong is stir-fried to order, giving the broth a refreshing and spicy flavor. The staff are always friendly. What’s especially great is their “Jjam-Tan” special, which lets you enjoy half a portion of jjamppong and half a portion of tangsuyuk in one meal. Honestly, it’s even better than most jajangmyeon places in Korea. I highly recommend this place!

I can see where they cut costs – namely, using small shrimp (the sort normally used for pasta salads). The price has gone up considerably in the past year, from $12.99 to $15.95.
Initially, my opinion of this place was that of a solid no-frills dining option next to a supermarket. Nothing special, but it got the job done quickly and affordably. Now, I just don’t want to deal with them.

Oh Jajangmyeon (jjajang noodle) the one with black beans paste was so gooooood and delicious!!! The noodles were perfectly cooked and did not stick together when I took it out!! I forgot to write a review a few weeks ago. I was on a diet but I finished it in one go without regret but a bliss! The guy at the cashier was making sure I got my order right, speedy and friendly service. They packed my food really well. I’ll try something else next time not sure I can manage not to get the same thing craving for it now..

Awful food and do not care about hygiene! She mixed pork sauce with my shrimp fried rice. I think you should tel people or AT LEAST have that on the menu!
Then, she takes the pork sauce off and expect me to eat it! Shouldn’t you make a new one?! I told her if I eat anything with pork I will be rushed to the emergency. No refund, no new plate!
No worries about the $10+tax but at least I don’t have to go to the hospital.
