Boulder isn’t known for authentic Chinese cuisine? Well…that’s probably because you haven’t tried You & Mee Noodle House – a 20+ year old gem tucked inside the old DMV office @2850 Iris.

I’ve been a loyal fan for nearly 10 years and have tried pretty much everything on the menu – and honestly, all delish! The Cantonese Duck and Peking Duck are true standouts, I order them to-go all the time.

Beyond the food, Lily & Sam are warm, genuine, and treat customers like family. To me, this place is definitely a taste of home away from home – where the food warms your stomach and the people warm your heart.

Don’t just take my word for it, go try it!

Really excellent Szechwan noodles. I visited based on the Eater recommendation & wasn’t disappointed. The mixed beef noodle soup was pleasantly spicy & delicious. Recommended! It was very quiet on a Monday at noon, but the staff were very nice.

Pleasant surprise- very humble looking place, but clean and neat with red Chinese lanterns hanging from the ceiling. We ordered a number of entrees, then passed them around using the lazy susan in the middle of the table. All SO tasty! Especially the green beans and veggie dumplings. Extra rice was brought on request. Not exactly inexpensive, but we had gone to celebrate a birthday and left satisfied and happy. Staff very friendly and helpful. Wait time was short and reasonable.

Update09112025: They will steal your credit card and automatically add a tip to themselves. The bill I signed is useless. I found out that this store is like a thief after checking my credit card.

She keeps selling and immediately turns her face away when she is rejected. What a unique boss lady. This is the first time I’ve seen someone snatch a customer’s menu.

The food is small, the noodles are machine made, not authentic, not chewy, not authentic Chinese food. Several different noodles tasted the same except for the few pieces of meat.
Not surprisingly, the quality of the dishes is directly proportional to her service attitude.

My spouse and I have eaten at, ordered from, and taken friends to You and Mee Noodle House on numerous occasions. It is simply one of the best restaurants, of any cuisine, in the Denver/Boulder area. Having been to the region many times, the Shanghai dishes are authentic. The diverse selection of noodle soups and dumplings are never under or overdone, retaining classic texture/bite and rich flavor. They are perfect starters or can, in combination, be full meals themselves. Included in the Chef’s repertoire are Ma-la dishes, and a must try hotpot (traditional, or an exceptionally delicious dry version not always available in other restaurants), with a variety of always fresh vegetable, rice cake, and/or meat ingredients to add. That being said, do not skip the dishes that one might be accustomed to, such as Kung Pao, and salt and pepper shrimp or squid. They are all exceptionally crafted and given new dimensions by Chef Lily and expertly laid out by June. I have just two words to end, “roast duck”, served with pancake and scallions (Peking style), or with Chef Lily’s homemade red chile crisp. Enjoy!

Don’t let the odd location take you away from trying this place out! Stopped by after a very exhausting hike, and just wanted some food. Ended up having a really really good meal! Recommend the dry hot pot though the price did add up! Service was quick, kind and helpful.

Located awkwardly inside an office space(?), I was hopeful when I looked at the menu and saw some very authentic dishes from different regions of China – refreshing set of offerings! Unfortunately, it was too good to be true. All the dumplings are pre-bought frozen and reheated. The extensive noodle soup list, while covering an impressive range of flavors from different Chinese regions, tasted… well, like they were reheated from flavor packets. I’m embarrassed that I brought my Chinese parents to eat here – especially as the prices were definitely not a reflection of the lack of effort put into the dishes. I don’t want to say it was a scam but…

Amazing food. Definitely home style cooking here. If you come here for the traditional Chinese menu, you probably know what you’re looking for, and you won’t be disappointed. Just like any other delicious Chinese restaurant serving up authentic meals, don’t hold out hope for 5 star service and ambiance. But honestly, it’s a tell tale sign that the food is about to be on point.

They were able to make the Singapore Rice Noodles gluten free to accommodate me. They were delicious. My friend enjoyed his szechuan brisket soup and pig ear salad

Just really superb food from a small hole in the wall restautant. The chili dumplings were awesome, as was the Peking Duck. The flavors here are fantastic. I took away one star because their prices are seriously expensive. Expect to pay a lot for dinner.
