Lunch today in Reno, NV Yosh’s Unique Deli. My wife and I follow a Food Network tv show “Diners,Drive Ins and Dives, so we are in town and decided to hit this spot. Have to say, this place is not for us. Wife ordered am Italian chopped salad, and was good. She also ordered a cup Asian Vegetable soup, it was so salty neither of us could eat it. I got the Meatloaf sandwich as seen on tv, pretty bad, about a slab maybe 3/8” thick, grilled on a flat top, charred so there is no moisture left and no flavor at all! Worst DDD we have been to.

I came in close to close tonight as in 30 minutes. As a frequent and former food service employee I know how frustrating it can be. I dined in and was able to watch another 10 or so guests come in and phone orders trickle in. The girl working the counter was unbelievably kind, helpful, and proficient to each and every guest. I was so impressed by how much care she gave to each guest and never seemed annoyed. Even as I sit here and this last group of indecisive women ask a million questions, she’s been amazing. Just want to give credit where it’s due to a place I have already loved.

This place was AMAZING. We came here for a quick lunch and it was packed. It was a little bit of a wait but it was so worth it.. The staff were friendly, food is homemade and fresh and the outside seating was perfect. It’s in a cute little shopping area with great views.. All of the food was so delicious.. I can’t wait to go back. Do not hesitate to eat here!

For the second time now, my veggie sandwich has contained pieces of meat. Inside and mushed into bread on the bottom of the sandwich. Two different meats might I add. Its absolutely disgusting and I can only image the cross contamination going on in the kitchen!! I will not be back, which is a shame, because the food does taste good and the atmosphere is the perfect cozy weekend lunch vibes.

Delicious food and kind people working there. The French dip is SO good. Crowded seating, but that’s because so many people want to be there. There is some seating available outside if the weather is nice. I confused the cashier and was overcharged, but we mentioned it to our waiter and a manager (possibly owner?) came out and quickly and took care of it. I’m looking forward to going again

I must say, everytime I go and visit Yoshi’s Cafe, I have never been disappointed with their service or their food.. today I had a half portobello salad with a beef vegetable soup and a blood orange Italian soda. The soups like there bread are handmade and the veggies and meats are organic grown and fed. The amount of love that goes into these dishes is indescribable, you really have to come and check them out for yourself.

They make the best Reuben in town! A wonderful treat if in South Reno. If you get a drink, their teas and lemonades are absolutely refreshing. I was able to make an Arnold palme. They have available seating outside, definitely recommend for the spring weather

So they closed because of a pipe breaking and we are paying that bill! I asked for a smoked tri tip and paid for double meat. The grilled onions were more consistent than the meat! WHERES THE BEEF you ask? In the pipe renovation bill! You don’t get what you pay for! It’s really gone downhill!

Cool deli with outdoor seating! I got the pulled pork sandwich, and everything- the coleslaw, the bread the sauce was amazing and I could tell time and effort went into making each item extra good! I also tied the unique potato salad and it lived up to its name.
They were able to make some plain chicken for my dog and I was able to sit outside with him!
Will definitely be back next time I’m in Reno!!!
