A nice little teriyaki style restaurant that has pretty solid pricing for decent food.
They open early compared to most similar places at 10 AM so that’s a plus as well.
Food was fine, a bit too sauced but nothing was bad, I wouldn’t go if I had plans but if I don’t it’s not a bad spot to get something small.
Clam chowder is not it though.

Yoshiniya is excellent, healthy, great tasting and fast food. It is not cheap but moderately priced. You get the app there’s some great deals all the time plus they send you specials every couple days. That makes eating at here affordable, healthy and delicious fast food!

The beef Gyudon bowl was good, not as good as Yoshinoya Japan but it was an 8/10, so definitely a repeat. The fired chicken was boneless, and it was a 6 or 7/10 for my taste. It was not bad, I just think that it’s not my taste probably. The shrimp was excellent and a 10/10. The people in this shop are also very kind and friendly. Plenty of free parking and easy location.

Quality is same as Japan. Ordered a regular beef bowl, and no complaints. Taste is good, and service is quick. This place is kept very clean, and the worker was cleaning with both a broom and mop, and every table was clean and there was no trash seen. Japanese quality and attitude towards service and cleanliness.

Overall a very unimpressive experience, even accounting for the fact that it’s fast food. I’d assume it’s healthier than typical fast food chains, but taste wise and price wise I’d go for Taco Bell or McDonalds any day. The rice was very plain and not good; the vegetables are boiled and completely flavorless. The meats were okay, gyudon beef is definitely the best and the fried chicken isn’t bad, the teriyaki chicken was mediocre at best. Overall pretty bad food at a fairly high price for the type of place it is.

Edible but not memorable. I wish I could like it more but the signature beef was a bit weak on taste and the vegetables were just boiled I think. The foiled-backed clam shell containers for dine-in seemed unusual.

As long as you’re not expecting the same menu as Yoshinoya Japan, this is a better option (you can get far more vegetables) than other fast food chains. I ask for extra soy sauce for the gyudon beef to add a bit more flavor but plain is okay too.

I finally tried Yoshinoya in Cupertino—and it lives up to the local buzz! Neighbors often praise it for quick, flavorful bowls at a great price, and my first visit didn’t disappoint.
We ordered:
* Tempura shrimp (crispy and light)
* Spicy combo (chicken & beef, no veggies) with a sweet-teriyaki kick on dark meat
* Regular combo (chicken & beef)
* Classic beef bowl
The chicken stood out—tender, well-seasoned, with that signature teriyaki glaze. To drink, I had the dragonfruit lemonade with boba—sweeter than I’d usually go, but still a refreshing pairing with the savory bowls.
If you’re in Cupertino and looking for a taste of Yoshinoya nostalgia (without the international travel), this spot is a winner. I’ll definitely be back to work through the rest of the menu!

We ordered two bowls here for the first time. We paid extra for the brown rice and udon combo – turns out they gave us both white rice and *hardly* any udon. The turn around on the order was quick and that staff were friendly. The food itself was just okay, although the order was incorrect. The teriyaki chicken isn’t that flavorful and I’d rather go to Panda Express. I understand adjusting expectations for the price of meals here but overall not a great impression. I reached out to customer service and provided an image for our incorrect order. They responded by providing a voucher in my app…. But I haven’t found anything specific on my account a few days later even when I followed up again by email. I had a $2 coupon on their but if that is the voucher they allude to…. No thanks.
