Whoever was on shift on 10/17/25 a young female and a male. Told us they only had Teriyaki beef and chicken. No other protein was available. We were super disappointed and only until we let them know it was our first time trying the food they put us on hold and a few minutes later told us on we do have all the other protein available it’ll be a 45 min wait.

I’m not tripping about the wait time we just got off work. I’m pressed bcuz we had to ask so many questions to hear the truth
How hard is it to be helpful and honest. With 2hr left till midnight onna Friday why not just do your job.

The one time I actually wanted to try this place after living in the area for 6 years and this is the shitty service I get.

I’d rather eat ramen at home if this is the type of low grade low vibrational employees that work here.

Notified the cashier (drive-thru) then the “manager” that the subtotal was incorrect. I patiently and clearly explained the simple problem. The manager refused to make a simple and easy chance to rectify Yoshinoya’s mistake. I urged him to do the right thing. I emailed the company through the company’s website customer service; no response. Here is yet another chance to do the right thing. Yes, I still have the receipt and scanned copies.

Worst experience thus far! Jose B. was the cashier at the time and showed attitude when I requested for my receipt that he didn’t include. (Wasn’t the first time) Once I got home and was in a few bites of my food I realized the cabbage was contaminated with mold! I threw it up and had my son also spit out anything he had in his mouth! I called the store just for a man that claimed to go by the name of Jorge/George, to tell me that they couldn’t do anything for me unless if it was the same day. Mind you I live 15minutes away. For the inconvenience I would’ve hoped they would’ve handled this better but clearly these employees lack the training or just simply don’t care! I won’t say I will never come back but I do hope this location does better with their customer service but more importantly their food handling! If I could I’d rate this experience “0 stars” and feel entitled to my full refund!

I ordered ahead at 1:35 thinking my food would be ready when I got there. I arrived at 1:50 and the cashier said my order wasn’t ready because they were out of beef. I stood there for 15 minutes and asked again for my order. I got my food at 2:10. Before I asked for my order several people got their orders but the guy ignored me for whatever reason. And my meat looked like it was only half a serving. And that restaurant needs to turn the AC on. It’s stuffy inside.

The cashier at the window was awesome and
professional. Tonight my order took a little long
because they were making me fresh veggies, and she apologized and threw in a free cookie. As if the fresh veggies wasn’t good enough. Very friendly service and much healthier options here than most every other fast food place.

10/8/2025 = 12:15PM = 2 Star = after almost 2 years when my last visit here , the serving is same , when I enter I got the greetings, the only thing is I smell something not right on the counter , but maybe they just cleaning in the kitchen, I will try again maybe after 2 to 3 years from now.

11/5/2023 = 3 Star = less star. i did not visit this store for a while coz the meat and veggies are fewer compare to other branch . . . The best branch that we recommend is Harbor and 22 freeway . You will see , what im talking about .

7/14/20 = 4 star = i got good service lately , i think they are getting better coz they change some employee.

12/3/19 = 3 star = looks like under new management , so far so good , add additional star .

8/28/19 = 2 star = we try to order today , beside of not smiling and no greetings , while were eating someone try to clean the Air condition vent with spray cleaning the guys didn’t say anything and start doing the cleaning and we did not finish our food.

2/19/29 = 2 star = Love Yoshinoya , but this is the only location that dont give enough meat , i bought a combo bowl . I will try not to come in this location .

Ordered online for takeout and the food was ready when they said. Inside was very clean and the service was quick. Pretty good size portions. They gave a lot of salmon. Some places skimp out but I was impressed.

04/01/25 the bowls are smaller than ever. The large has the same amount or barely any more meat than the bowls. Make sure to get sauce on the side cuz they skimp on sauce too now. Service is fine but the value isn’t there at all.

I’ve eaten yoshinoya growing up. their food is decent and relatively healthy. at one point they went from steamed veggies to some disgusting stewed green veggies but I’m glad to see they’ve gone back to steamed veggies.

This location is our go to for years. The store is clean and tidy, but the food service is very hit or miss. When it’s a miss, they miss really hard. I picked up this online order, and it was completely missing the other half of the chicken details (skin, onion), and completely forgot to give me veggies. the portion sizes have also been getting smaller. if this is really supposed to be an xl, then don’t bother paying the extra $1-2 for the xl. I had to go back once to get the veggies and the chicken fixed, and I really didn’t feel like going back again to try to get an xl portion.

But other than that, imo always get the teriyaki sauce on the side. and ask for extra red ginger, the ginger is the real reason why we keep going back. and skip the brown rice; as unhealthy as white rice is, the brown here is just terrible.

**12/30 went again, checked my bowls, no veggies again. just check your order and make sure it’s right before you leave.

5/21/24 3.5 stars, some of the customization options are gone from the website like skinless and sauce on side, but the deals are in the website now, and the quality of the brown rice has improved a lot, but I’m still getting random undercooked hard grains. the boba tea is not bad but lacking customization. portion size is not big compared to before, but what you get is decent. I’ll probably skip the sweet and sour and ask for extra teriyaki sauce next time.

also, skip the app, order on the website. the app doesn’t work, and is broken.

They used to be good. What happened to you? Is it a new cook or new manager who messing up the order?

Someone ate half of my habanero chicken before it came out.

Seriously such a blessing to have a Yoshinoya in Tustin that is not only open late but also has a drive thru!

Their iconic teriyaki chicken and beef bowl combo is seriously one of the cheapest and best bang-for-your-buck meals in the area especially when you have a buy one get one free coupon. I mean where else can you get a meal for two for only $6?!

The service here is pretty great and there are more dishes here to offer like their orange chicken, honey walnut shrimp, and fish and chips but none of them compare to their classic beef and chicken bowls. I’ve tried them before and have never been impressed by them.

Overall, definitely a place that I consistently keep coming back to. Would highly recommend!
