Yoshi ramen – Tega Cay, SC – Reddit

The Karaage curry ramen. My wife was a big fan of this bowl, good spice but not overbearing. Eggs cooked perfectly.

This is a welcome addition to Fort Mill, SC. You come to not expect much for restaurants here in the South when you think of Authentic Asian foods, but this place was far above expectations. The vegetable ramen is aithe tic. The egg wasn’t as strong as I would hope for, but it was still great because it was actually cooked d to the correct doneness.

We had the vegetable rolls and tofu appetizers and they hit so hard! This is definitely a new spot that needs to be visited. The prices are excellent considering the quality you get.

The place is immaculate and the decor is inviting and modern. The staff is friendly and helpful with just enough interaction to make the visit welcoming but not overly tiring.

Great place to eat!

The place is so cute! Our server John was so amazing. We allowed him to choose our Ramen for us . He did not disappoint with the spicy garlic ramen! It was delicious!

We enjoyed the cozy, cute atmosphere! We will definitely be back to try more things! I would encourage you to support this amazing business!

Yoshi was such a unique and memorable dining experience! The atmosphere immediately stood out with its creative honeycomb seating, which made the meal feel extra special. The food was absolutely delicious. The shrimp was fried to perfection, crispy and flavorful, and the ramen was rich, comforting, and full of depth. We also tried their house made Yuzu lemonade!

Our server, Jon, was incredibly friendly and attentive the entire time, not only with our table but with everyone around him. He made sure we were well taken care of from start to finish. A big shoutout also goes to the young hostess, who noticed us admiring the honeycomb seating and went out of her way to make arrangements so we could sit there, which was such a thoughtful touch!

A lot of places may make ramen, but you can’t beat Yoshi’s unique atmosphere.

We’ll definitely be back!

Yoshi Ramen in Tega Cay, south of Charlotte just might be the answer to the dearth of good Asian food in Charlotte area. The creative beehive setting aside, their food is quite piquant, and what’s more, is quite extensive ranging from rich, slow-simmered broths to the guilty pleasure that is the Korean fried chicken.

We’ve tried their ramen—slurping it all in with the right mix of vegetables and meat—makes for a wonderful dining experience. The noodles are house-made and taste quite fresh. The Chicken Fried Rice has been a downer with the chicken in it tasting gummy, but in hindsight we shouldn’t have ordered Chicken Fried Rice in a place that boasts on ramen, so that’s on us.

Other savory bites that we’ve tried include Kara-Age chicken(mildly spiced chicken), and Parmesan Truffle Fries(good enough appetizer to share).

The drinks also run the gamut from Green Teas to Yuzu to alcoholic drinks if you’re feeling naughty.

The servers are quite kind and polite, and despite having to climb the tricky stairs to reach the top of the beehive, they maintain their calm. We appreciated that too.

Sufficient parking is available outside, and there’s a restroom in the back on the first floor.

Overall, it’s a wonderful ramen spot in the Charlotte area, and I’m chuffed. Keep it up Yoshi Ramen! I’ll be back soon.

What a lovely surprise this restaurant was!! We honestly came because I wanted to sit in the honeycomb structure: it was just as cute in person as online. The price point alone is hard to beat, but the quality of food was phenomenal!! We got the agadashi tofu and takoyaki: both 10/10!! I even used the oil from the tofu in my karaage curry ramen bowl because it was so delicious. We live in Southend, but I would absolutely drive back down to eat here again.

Absolutely loved Yoshi Ramen. The ramen was rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care, and the portions were super satisfying. Everything tasted fresh and comforting, especially on a chilly day. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was cozy without feeling cramped. Easily a spot I’d come back to again and again. Highly recommend if you’re craving really good ramen.

Absolutely a little gem of a place! Really cool seating, like you’re in a honey comb/cubicle and some floor seating. Limited seating, but we got in right away. Service was great too, quick and prompt. The K-wings are a must! Any flavor will do! The Ramen is superb! Broth was creamy with pork fat and rich, and noodles were perfect. Everything about this place hits. Price is right, quality is amazing, definitely will be a Ramen favorite for us.

I have been to Yoshi a few times and each time, the service and food have been excellent. I have tried many dishes such as the fried rice, Korean wings, Takoyaki, shrimp lollipops and ramen. This particular visit we decided on ramen, tea and my daughter wanted truffle fries. The truffle fries weren’t anything to write home about but I also wouldn’t expect them to be in an Asian restaurant. My daughter had the Tokyo Shoyu Ramen and I had the Spicy Garlic Ramen(in photo). She said that was her ramen was really good but the spicy garlic is chef’s kiss. The broth is on the thicker side, right level of spice and so flavorful. The ramen is so filling and took me until the next day to get through but was even better tasting the next day. I have been thinking about this ramen since and will be going this week. I want to also mention that the service is friendly, consistent and the staff is super nice. It also does not hurt that this place is super cute. What a gem in Fort Mill.

First trip to yoshi ramen, all I can say is great things. We did have about a 40min wait but expected for a Friday night. Started with an order of the Berkshire Goyza 10/10! And the hot wings, spice is intense for most who typically eat spicy food but were still phenomenal! We both ordered the hot spicy garlic ramen and subbed for chicken chasu instead of pork, and the ramen was best in town no doubt! Another solid 10/10! We had John as our server and he did amazing and the other wait staff as well with continuing to refill out water. Will def go back!
