I’m not a sushi enthusiast, but my husband absolutely loves it and Yoshi is his top choice every time. What’s great about Yoshi is that their menu offers so much more than just sushi. I personally adore their Cucumber salad with crab meat, and the Phad Thai didn’t disappoint either. Conveniently located with parking available, our overall experience here was fantastic.

Very large menu with great food! Crab Rangoon sushi roll is definitely a favorite! It was so good, I forgot to take a picture before I starting eating .

I went there with my daughter, having never been to a Japanese restaurant before. The server was very helpful in giving us suggestions. Based on our tastes. The soup was flavorful and delicious. The egg rolls were flaky and piping hot. The calamari was absolutely delicious. And the tuna bowl was to die for. I highly recommend this place. I will certainly be back to explore more of the menu.

Best sushi we’ve had since moving to Maine. I’m so excited to find such a great spot in the Bangor area. Convenient location, easy to get to. Limited parking in front. Nice inside. Bright and clean. Pretty extensive menu and everything we ordered was so good. We started with green tea, salads with ginger dressing and soup. All good. As expected. Next we enjoyed some shumai, steamed and fried gyoza and spring rolls. Everything was delicious abd plated nicely. That was followed by sashimi, a shrimp tempura roll topped with salmon and egg rolls. No complaints at all. The fish was super fresh, everything was great. So flavorful and my husband who was stationed in Japan for a few years in the Navy was even impressed! Service was friendly and helpful. The waitress even went out of her way to answer our question about one of the accompaniments. Nice size portions. We came home with leftovers. I’m excited to go back and try some more things from the menu.

The lunch specials are extremely well-priced and the sushi is always really, really fresh. Their dragon rolls are to die for, and their tempura is always perfectly done. The service is usually amazingly fast, and while the decor may be a bit kitschy/tacky, the vibe is always calm and intimate (especially in the booths or at the back hibatchi tables)

Been eating here for 11.5 years and the food always good. I would say the best japanese food near Bangor-Brewer area. The owner and his kids were very nice. They always recognized us. Too bad that the owner changed soon but he will kept everything the same including the chef in the back. I love the appetizers, sushi, sashimi, main course food from this restaurant. The price also makes sense. One thing that I would change is the new owner needs to wears something to cover his long beard. He is working directly with the sushi making and customers can directly see him. It is not professional at all and afraid to order the sushi/sashimi just in case the hair from his beard fall down.

Delicious food very fresh. I loved the floor seating and so did my granddaughters. It is their favorite restaurant to go to. Sure wish they had a children’s option. If they did we would go more often. That is why I gave it 4 stars.

First time back since new ownership. Service is good, food is good. Front entry/reception area looks pretty beat up but seating area still looks nice. Food was done sooner than the wait time I was quoted (!!!) on the phone and the taste and quality is just as good as ever! Very pleased and grateful and will certainly be back for more!

Always a great experience and top notch quality. The new owner is a very creative chef and can make rolls for anyone’s liking. He even makes special “kid’s rolls” if you ask. My 3 year old loves to eat here.
