I recently enjoyed an unforgettable dinner at Yoshi Yoshi Japanese in Sherwood Park while celebrating my mom’s baptism, and it was the perfect way to mark the occasion with exceptional cuisine. The food was truly remarkable: I began with the salmon collar, grilled to flaky, light, buttery perfection that melted in my mouth with each savory bite. This was followed by the sea urchin rolls, offering a creamy, briny essence with a fresh oceanic burst, and the salmon belly rolls, which were richly velvety and dissolved delightfully on the tongue. A huge shout out to the kitchen chef Wei for making us feel right at home with his masterful touch! The service was impeccable, with attentive staff ensuring we were well cared for throughout the meal, and fresh sushi arriving promptly every time. For an authentic Japanese dining experience, I highly recommend this gem—it’s become a new favorite! ✨

I read many reviews regarding the extremely poor service but decided to give this place a try anyway. I’m sorry to say they’re all correct. Service was terrible. Server was rude and apathetic, also kept dragging their feet around the restaurant. Regarding the food though, it was actually not that bad. Nowhere near the best Japanese I’ve ever had but it was passable. The very poor service is what did it for me. Considering the alternative Japanese restaurants available, I will not be returning.

Very good portion sizes and compared to other Japanese restaurants this one is a lot more affordable. The food was perfect and service was great!! Will come again:)

this place has been recommended a few times and so we gave it a shot last night. It was really really tasty. We ordered the beef bento box and the pork Ramen. It was plenty of food with Some to take home as well. I’m excited because it’s very close to where I live so knowing that a place like this is close to home is really great.

I was having a lousy day and decided to take a chance on a new restaurant and I’m so glad I did. The food made me so happy. The beef enoki wraps were delicious, the vegetable tempura had a light airy batter, the sauces with each item complimented them perfectly. The prices are also affordable. The people helping us seemed so lovely. We had a great experience and I’m very happy with what we ordered for take out. I look forward to going back!

Our first time going to Yoshi was this evening and it was fantastic. Very simple tastful Asian decor in this small strip mall location was inviting. The service was excellent with our server greeting us and seating us immediately. The food was second to none and the prices for quantity of you received was very Very reasonable. The two of us each had a Wonton soup, 4 Very large Dynamite Rolls, a 4 piece large fried scallops and we each had 1 cocktail and the bill was around $55. This will be our new go too for Japanese cuisine. I’d highly recommend this place. 5

We have been going to Yoshi for 5 yrs now. We’ve tried other sushi places in Sherwood Park but we always come back here. Very clean, soft lighting, family, small group and date night friendly. Extensive menu. We always get the tempura. Perfectly battered and not greasy. Good crunch. This time we got seaweed salad, California rolls and Alaskan maki. Delicious! Everything is very reasonably priced.

Old school cosy Japanese restaurant. It’s like eating in a Japanese rumpus room-in a good way. Fireplace. Menu has all our favourites. Beef tatami, gyoza, tempura, tuna and salmon sashimi, Mexican roll deep fried tofu. All well prepared and delicious. Friendly, kind staff. Lots of choice for sushi rolls and sushi. Fresh. Definitely try it out. They have been there for at least 20 years,maybe longer. Eat local!
