I have been dying to try out this little hot dog place the last few times I’ve come to town, and I’m so happy I finally did! I loved the quirky decor throughout and it was so homey, straight Midwest kind of vibes ❣️ it was great that the owners came out and chatted with us and to see the connection they’ve built with regulars and hear about their involvement with the community. I especially love that they have a pay it forward meal board for those that can’t always afford a meal, but know they have a safe place to get a bite. 10/10 recommend and will be returning! I had the Pooch which was a pb&j style dog with a little kick, although I wouldn’t say it was spicy. We also got the Pit Bull which was on the spicy end! He loved the fresh pickled jalapenos that had a great bite to them. Definitely going back to try out some of the others

Yoooper Dogz is a great place to grab a quick cheap bite to eat, and have it be worth every penny. The chef took his time to craft a unique hotdog menu that’s full of flavorful creative creations that’s bound to attract every person to try atleast one kind of dog. I’ve never been to a hotdog place personally besides Dr.Dogg and this was probably 17 years ago and I can tell ya, I’ll definitely be visiting here every time I’m in town in the UP

Quaint Cafe atmosphere. Owner/operators very personable and ready with suggestions. Soooo many options on the menu! Unbelievably low prices for the size of these loaded hot dogs!! Definitely will return. Come with an empty belly and be ready to use a fork!!

Disappointed Again
This was my second visit to Yooper Dogs, and unfortunately, it was just as disappointing as the first. As a true hot dog enthusiast, I was really hoping this place would redeem itself. The concept is creative—hot dogs with flashy, outside-the-box toppings—but when the star of the show (the hot dog itself) falls flat, all the bells and whistles can’t make up for it.
The dogs lack flavor and don’t taste like 100% beef, which is surprising and honestly disheartening for any hot dog fan. I came in excited to try something unique, but left let down by a hot dog that just didn’t deliver where it counts.
Yooper Dogs could really shine if they focused on quality and flavor at the core. If the base product matched the enthusiasm of the toppings, this place would be packed. Until then, it feels like style over substance.

This place is amazing! Really good prices and amazing service. The food was far better than I was expecting for being a hotdog joint. Will definitely be coming back!

Driving thru the area, looking for a place to grab a quick bite. This place absolutely hit the mark! Great variety and interesting choice of toppings to garnish your hot dogs with. Soup and potato salad also available. Potato salad with just the right amount of dressing/seasoning. Got the hamsome (ham & cheese) and Chicago Dog (hot dog very tender), both delicious! Husband raved about the hamsome and almost got another for the road!!
On another note very clean restaurant and bathroom was one of the cleanest I’ve seen in my travels (imho bathroom can tell you a lot about restaurant).
Talked with owners, great team with a great concept and a great benefit to the community!
If ever in the area will definitely make sure to add this stop to our travels!!

What a great experience here! The staff was so friendly and helpful. There were so many great options on the menu. The food was amazing and huge portion sizes. It was my first time here and I’ll definitely be back!
