Korean style Chinese restaurant, Jajangmyeon and Jampong have been and still are very popular traditional Chinese noodle dishes in South Korea. Besides the noodle dishes, TangSuyuk (Sweet & Sour Pork) is one of the most popular dishes you must have. Although there are handful of Korean style Chinese restaurants in LA & OC, I can honestly say not 1 that stands out. Yong Moon Lu has been open since September 2022. Customers are driving from Irvine, Los Angeles, Corona and some driving over an hour to dine-in with us. These customers pass at least 5 same style menu restaurants that are closer but still choose to come to Yong Moon Lu. I really do appreciate customers loving our food and I am so pleased

Reviews
Service was friendly and quick, and the atmosphere felt welcoming and comfortable. Parking was a bit tight, but the excellent food and fair prices more than made up for it.
Highly recommend—definitely worth a visit. We’ll be back.
Finally we found the best Korean style Chinese restaurant. Two thumbs up!
———Updated review with more detail, requested by the owner——-(12/30/2025)
We’ve visited this restaurant four times during lunch hours. On other days, we couldn’t visit because they close for a lunch break.
We usually ordered jajangmyeon, jjampong, and fried shrimp with spicy sauce.
The jajangmyeon sauce was average compared to Chinese restaurants in the LA area. On the positive side, the jjampong was spicy and flavorful.
The main downside for us was the noodle texture, which was too chewy. We don’t prefer overly soft noodles either, but both my husband and I experienced digestive discomfort afterward.
The fried shrimp with spicy sauce (kanpoong shrimp) was also a bit disappointing. The sauce leaned more sweet than spicy and lacked depth compared to similar dishes at other restaurants.
This review reflects our personal experience and taste, and others may enjoy it more.
Jjajangmyeon: noodles are bouncy, sauce is strong savory black bean flavor with onions and meat inside.
Sweet and Sour Pork: so crispy with a side of thick sweet and sour sauce.
Shrimp Fried Rice: very fragrant, lots of shrimp. Ask for a side of jjajang sauce and eat it with the fried rice!
Especially Korean sweet and sour pork.
The food is generally delicious and the servers, even though they are older, are quick and very friendly.
There are a lot of customers so there may be some inconvenience in waiting, but it is a Korean restaurant well worth the wait.
From simple food to various dishes, it looks good and is delicious. In particular, they provided free jasmine tea, which goes perfectly with Chinese food.
