First time at Yola’s Cafè today. Now, I drive over to the east side of Madison plenty of times for the food and the offerings over there, and please note the seriousness in my eyes when I tell you that YOU NEED TO DRIVE OVER HERE, wherever you live in Madison. LOOK at this waffle: the crunchy dripped edges, the doughy, “eggy” interior, the nooks and crannies that say “hold on there syrup, you ain’t going nowhere” (Mitch Hedberg RIP). Yola’s advertises “the best waffles in Wisconsin,” and I cannot prove otherwise. Not today. This waffle was a ten out of ten, and I’ve never had a better one. Ever. You can order them vegan or gluten-free. (This is the vegan, WITH gluten.) How will I not get one of these every week now? Maybe I should.

Currently sitting in the cafe writing this review. The food was just great and drinks are amazing. The waffles were soooo good and the avocado chicken bacon wrap was phenomenal. Highly recommend if you’re looking to show someone a good breakfast and lunch cafe!! Thanks for great service 🙂

I would come here again for a coffee and pastry, but this time I got a quiche and it wasn’t great, along with what I can only guess were frozen potatoes. I think if you came here for the waffles you’d be happy too, and the coffee and matcha lattes are good! The eggs looked great as well, which is why I gave this place 4 stars – I think I ordered the wrong thing for this type of place. The indoors has a nice fireplace and they have a lot of outdoor space in the summer, which I love.

The food is fine and the coffee is fine. I wouldn’t recommend it but I’m going to keep coming here because it’s close to my work.

I found hair in my egg so technically the hair was cooked with the egg but the coffee was good just add more Carmel next time so it has flavor. But other than that the service was good. The food was good until I found a hair in the food tasted like nature btw. Recommend just put your hair up btw writing this while eating here well not eating no more

This place is great. We came just before lunch time and there was so plenty of space. The waffles were delicious and came out quickly. Fruit was fresh and perfect. They have a dedicated vegan grill, so the vegans in our party were ecstatic. Waffles are $6-8 base. Vegan are $7.50. add ons range from $0.50 to $1.50. it’s entirely worth it though.

Cute place for a lunch date with the wife. I would suggest going before or after peak lunch time because the quaint, cozy feel means there’s not a lot of seating and this place gets busy. If it’s warm, sit outside, but if it’s cold, it’s a struggle. Service was great and the food was a step up from normal lunch venues, making it even better for a date.

The food here is very good, the only reason I didn’t give it a higher score is its very disorganized. I went for breakfast and the person delivering food to the tables gave my wife and I the wrong order, then came back and gave my wife her order, then almost gave my sandwich away to someone else. We came back for lunch and despite repeating my order 3 times, one of the items I clearly ordered was missing from my order and my receipt. Nice people, but I feel like handing out trial samples of Adderall ever time I go there.

Googled coffee shop near me and was pleased to find an independent place in the chain store desert of the far west side. Warm cozy place that smells of what must be amazing waffles, though I didn’t order them. I’ll be here every time I need coffee and or need to work on my laptop and have a lovely waffle.

The food was by far not what I expected after reading other reviews.
