This casual handroll bar rolls up quick rolls and clean fish, especially at Happy Hour. Yokocho may be small on the inside, but has plenty of choices and traditional flavors. I’ve never seen a beer ordered, poured and brought to the table quicker than here, other than sitting at the bar of course. Their Wagyu handroll and spicy tuna rolls were fantastic. Their nigiri and sashimi are clean, delicate and fresh, although you could skip the shrimp dumplings. Come here for a quick bite or a full meal, your taste buds will surely be delighted. Some of their staff could polish up on their bedside manner, one hostess in particular.

Excellent menu. Nice range of prices on handrolls so you can stay inexpensive or go really over the top. We tried a mix of both. Everything tasted great. The uni cheesecake was kind of an odd combination. It wasn’t for me, but my wife loved it. The two best handrolls we had were the truffle hamachi and Hokkaido scallop. The wagyu crispy rice was also amazing. Looking forward to coming back.

Having been to Tokyo I’m ecstatic Chicago has its own Yokocho and the back alley vibes are perfect here. The nigiri was so good but those shrimp dumplings and the blue crab hand roll wow. The matcha sando was great too. Loved their drinks, especially the celery one. Get it all! Killer happy hour too from 5-7pm @chicagopescetarian

Sat at the bar and had an amazing omakase dinner at Yokocho! Every course was fresh, thoughtful, and so well balanced from the nigiri to the handrolls to the strawberry matcha sando at the end. The chefs were so intentional, and the service made the whole experience feel special.
Definitely a must-try if you love sushi or want an elevated night out in Fulton Market

high quality fish and fantastic happy hour deal ($6 traditional handrolls)! i enjoyed their salmon a lot – it was so fresh and tasty, and it left such a clean aftertaste in my mouth. i’d come back and order like 6 of their sake & cucumber handroll. definitely somewhere i’d revisit over and over again for happy hour!

I have been to Yokocho twice and both meals included some of my favorite sushi bites in the city. I’ve order both off the al-a-carte menu and recently tried the “Trust the Chef” omakase experience and both meals were incredible but the host staff and chefs make the experience memorable.
Some of my favorite bites I’ve had at Yokocho are the Spicy Tuna Sando, Iwashi Toast, and all the handrails (every one is fantastic!).
I highly recommend if you are looking for a memorable dining experience in West Loop!

Came here for a second time and this place is great for a date night or even a girls night out. We got seated right away and the prices during happy hour is amazing. The hand rolls if you decide to seat at the counter you can see them make it right in front of you. The matcha Sando was so good. Will keep coming back soon.

Absolutely a 10/10 meal AND experience! The chefs omakase coursed meal was incredible. The chef walked us through each dish that somehow was even more delectable than the last. Cocktails were wonderful and the matcha sandwich for dessert is a must!

I came for happy hour and the handrolls are reasonably priced and good quality. I liked the uni cheesecake. I tried the toki highball- not for me, but I’m not a typical alcohol drinker. Staff was attentive and checked on me a lot.

Great quality fish and fun dishes! Loved the negi toro caviar bite and the strawberry sando. Lovely highball too! Good ginger and nice higher quality wasabi on the side too.
