Absolutely delicious every time!
I’ve eaten here several times, and each time I order the large teriyaki chicken bowl with a large drink $14.72 and it never disappoints. The flavor and portion size are incredible, especially the generous amount of chicken you get in the large bowl.
The restaurant is spotlessly clean, the temperature inside is cool and comfortable, and the customer service is outstanding everyone is genuinely friendly and welcoming.
It’s tough competition being in the same parking lot as Chick-fil-A and Chipotle, but Yogi’s Grill truly deserves more attention. If you’re willing to skip the big-name chains and try something new, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend!
The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the service is quick even during busy times. The restaurant is clean, and the atmosphere is comfortable whether you’re dining in or taking out. If you’re looking for delicious Japanese food, Yogi’s Grill never disappoints. Highly recommend!
So here’s the breakdown.
Chicken Katsu Bowl: Comes with panko breaded, deep-fried teriyaki chicken and lots of rice (if you order it just like that)
You can order half rice/half veggies for just $1 more. I give this a solid 4 because the chicken was fried too long. Although it was still flavorful, the semi-charred panko tainted the flavor a bit and the chicken was as juicy as I prefer. Still the teriyaki sauce was delicious, and the rice was cooked perfectly.
The Steamed Veggies:
Oh my! They steam them to perfection. It was tenderness with a slight crunch, and I could taste each wonderful vegetable on it’s own cause it was juicy it greasy. However, there was no salt or pepper or anything, I know this works for some people, but a little salt, spice, or acidic zest can’t hurt anything in my opinion Another 4!
The Service and Atmosphere: A solid 5! Chelsie’s smile and light, friendly demeanor was delightful. I loved that you see everybody, because it gives the opportunity to thank the actual cooks for the food. Chelsie had solid menu recommendations, and knew what the area favorites were. Her input was very helpful to me as a first-timer! She was very polite, but not overly friendly, and it’s always so refreshing to just see people in there natural element rather than forcing a smile.
The front area was very clean and even smelled nice, not just like food. Nice open floor, and great positioned windows for most of the day because the sun wasn’t just straight through. Even so, it was cool and comfortable inside as well.
BONUS! This location is close to a few shopping stores, a bowling alley, and about half a mile from a light rail stop (Montebello & 19th Ave) so take yourself out and grab a bite!
I love this store and will keep coming to this wonderful place .
CDC guidelines are followed, staff and chefs wear mask all the time
The rice with a little bit dry but the chicken was delicious and so was the soup, I didn’t get any utensils.
