My friend and I came in for lunch on a Sunday. They were busy, but not too busy as they had quite a few empty tables. We were waiting in line with everyone else and all the waitresses were ignoring us. A couple behind us tried to get a waitress attention, but was also ignored. Finally they called out to one of the lady at the cash register. The lady attempted to seat them first and wanted to skip us completely. Thankfully the couple let her know we were waiting first.
We ordered the brisket beef bone soup, the tendon and cartilage beef bone soup, and the “award winning” seafood pancake. The soups were good once you add in the salt and other seasoning. The pancake was nothing to write home about except it was huge and decently good… not award winning in my opinion. Also it was $24 for it… steep pricing honestly.
After the food came out, we received no other service, not even a refill for our tea. When I went to pay and didn’t tip the usual 20%, the lady gave me a unsatisfactory look…
Food was good, but service was lacking and not tipping high was also not approved…

Huh? Why is this place so underrated? This place is probably one of the very few Korean restaurants that could be compared to the places in Korea. Broth, rice, kimchi, kkakdugi, and meat – all of them are rich in flavor. Most people get brisket, but my go to is the tongue. It’s tender and softer than brisket.
A tip to eat the beef broth – put some shrimp sauce and pepper to meet your preference, then add some kkakdugi sauce in the broth for a little kick. Kkakdugi sauce would make it way better.
They have other menus too. I’ve tried scallion pancake and spicy soup. They are ok but not outstanding. Just stick to the beef broth soup. Dumplings are not bad.
Beware, this place gets super crowded after 6pm, even on weekdays. Get there as early as you can. Servers are always nice to me because I am Korean. Not sure how they treat non-Koreans.
One of my favorite Korean restaurants in the area. I miss it already!!

Simple menu of specialized dishes and soups. The beef bone soup was delicious. The broth was milky and savory, having been cooked all day to get that milky. They must have used the same broth for the seafood soup, which was also delicious. The radish and cabbage Kimchi was very fresh and tasty. Keep it coming at no extra charge. The soup portion was a perfect size, and the price was reasonable. Loving this place.

Went here for the first time for my birthday breakfast and it was incredible.
The cabbage and radish kimchis were perfectly balanced, fresh, crisp, and full of flavor. I ordered the Sseok oh Seolleongtang (섞어 설렁탕) and the Modeum Suyuk (모듬 수육) and every bite was amazing. The broth was rich and comforting without being heavy, and the meats were tender and deeply flavorful. You can tell everything is made with real care and tradition.
It’s rare to find Korean food this authentic and well executed outside of Korea. Every dish had that perfect balance of subtle, savory, and satisfying. The staff were kind, the service was quick, and the atmosphere had that cozy, home cooked feel that makes you want to stay for another bowl.
Absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely be back. Perfect spot for anyone craving real Korean comfort food.

If you are craving some hot soup on a cold day, this is it!
1. Reservation: won’t hurt, or else you will need to wait 30 mins during busy times. They have about ~12 tables and not a huge establishment.
2. Service: 4 stars. no nonsense, straightforward, aloof even. But I didn’t care. They don’t need to be super nice, just needs to be non unpleasant.
3. Food: 5 stars
pajeon: very good
hot soups: they are all great! they are specialized in soup and you can tell from their quality.
4. Ambience: homey, casual, family friendly.
If you are craving hot soup, this is the one!

Can’t trust google review, I tried different places over 4.5, all mediocre. This place is 3.9 but the best place ever. If you’re looking for legit Korean beef soup (kimchi was amazing too), this place is the one. Great service too.

Had the brisket seolleongtang and it really hit the spot. The broth was rich, milky, and comforting, exactly what you want from a long-simmered soup. The beef sundubu wasn’t as strong on the beef flavor as I hoped, but still cozy and satisfying. The kimchi was perfect, crisp, tangy, and balanced, probably my favorite part. They sell A little on the pricey side but not unreasonable for the quality. Great spot if you’re craving hearty, homey Korean soups.

Regular customer who brought many friends here before. Truly disappointing today. After waiting for almost 20 minutes on our two simple orders, I asked if our order has been placed. One of the waitresses seemed annoyed at my question and answered that it was the dumpling soup that takes so long. That is not true! Meanwhile 3 tables that came after us all got their food and almost done! Oh and that same waitress yelled at the Hispanic waiter for accidentally placing an extra rice on our table. Which we promptly handed back to her. My Gosh! Have some common sense. Instead of simply acknowledging that our wait was a bit long she wanted to blame it on my dumpling soup order which we have ordered before with a lot more order than 2. Do better

We got curious by seeing “traditional” in the name. And it is everything you expect (plus more): Soups are very hearty and delicious, kimchi is crisp and has just the right amount of kick. We tried both spice and beef broth soups and all were amazing. Service is attentive, and a bottle of Korean beer tops the food well.
