I’ve been meaning to check out this restaurant as I live nearby and love checking out Thai restaurants around town (I’m Thai so Thai food is my go-to comfort food ☺️). Ying’s opened up very recently in November 2025, and I sensed from the name (Ying is a popular nickname in Thai meaning “lady”) and decor that it is authentically Thai. My fiancé and I ordered a number of dishes to taste – noodles, curries, salad, and sautéed dishes with rice. The food came beautifully prepared in nice dishware and generously portioned (we especially appreciated that they gave lots of meat and vegetables in our dishes as some places give you very few pieces of hearty ingredients.) We were so happy to taste such delicious authentic Thai food in Hawai’i! The owner “Aunty Ying” came up to say hello to us upon finding out from her niece, Yui, (helping at the restaurant) that I’m Thai – what a sweet lady and family business. We will certainly be back for more!

New Thai spot near Ala Moana Center! Staff was super friendly and the food was amazing. My most favorite is the hot and sour soup with shrimp. Highly recommend this authentic Thai place in Hawaii. Will definitely come back

This new Thai restaurant is at the bottom of the Pacific Guardian Tower on Keeaumoku St., next to Verizon. I tried their pad-see-eiw (thick rice noodle dish with egg, gai lan, garlic, and shrimp), and their chicken satay with peanut sauce. I also tried their thai tea. Everything was delicious and tasty!!! Inside is roomy and spacious. The wait staff are friendly and the cook/owner (I’m assuming) came out to check on me. So sweet. Please check them out!

Saw that this place opened up recently and took over what used to be the hot pot place here.. however we found tbe food to be flavorless, lacking any real depth to flavor in both the pad thai and the massaman curry. However the counter service was friendly. Can’t see this place open for very long if they continue making bland food when there are much better options in the area.

Solid Thai food with good flavors and fair prices. Service was friendly and the food came out quickly. A great spot for a casual Thai meal.

Today I stopped by this restaurant for a quick lunch. Ordered two dishes papaya salad Laos flavors and beef pad Thai noodles. Papaya salad was crunchy with a hint of salty, sweet and sour and made in perfection. I only ordered with 1 pepper since it is my first time here I rather stay safe or gently lightly when it comes to spicy level. And the pad tha noodles has egg, tofu with beef and a touch of tamarind in it. Both dishes are fantastic. I will return to this place again in the future. 🙂

The food was absolutely delicious—full of authentic Thai flavors, fresh ingredients, and perfectly balanced spices. Every dish was well-prepared and beautifully presented. The service was just as impressive: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without being overbearing. Staff were knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. Overall, a wonderful dining experience with excellent food and outstanding service. Highly recommended.

Ying’s Thai Cuisine offers delicious, clean, and authentic Thai food. The flavors are truly Thai and taste just like home. The restaurant has a warm and pleasant atmosphere, making it a great place for gatherings with friends or family.
The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the owner is very kind and lovely. The prices are affordable and reasonable for the quality of food.
If you’ve never tried real authentic Thai cuisine before, I highly recommend this place. Definitely worth a visit!
