This restaurant has a very interesting concept. You walk in, pick the ingredients you like, place them on a tray, and the chefs take your selection to the kitchen and prepare a fresh soup based on exactly what you chose. It feels personalized, and the whole process makes the experience unique and fun.
What truly amazed me was the taste. It turned out to be one of the most delicious soups I have ever eaten. I honestly didn’t expect it to be this good. The flavors were perfectly balanced, the broth was rich, and everything tasted incredibly fresh.
I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys great food and a creative dining experience.

I absolutely ADORE this place. They have my favorite broth out of any hotpot I’ve tried in the area and I find myself coming here every week. Plus the waitress is so nice! She always has a big smile and is very welcoming.
I’ve seen people in other reviews complain about the staff hounding for tips, but I’m here weekly and have never had this happen. I love yin tang / hotpot fairy and will continue to be a loyal customer!

You’ll probably see bad reviews regarding tipping. These folks bus the tables, and bring the food out. Yes you may pick out the “fillings” but that it, they bring you your food, refill the water and if you have left overs they’ll help you pack it. I think that is very much so worthy of being tipped. The two people on the floor are very hardworking and super friendly. They service tables with optimal speed and are very welcoming to newcomers. It’s just them two and they have to take breaks during slow times or eat their lunches in between customers.
This place is a recurring visit for me. I can make it as expensive as I want it to be because it’s based off of weight. The atmosphere is very cozy and niche. It offers a variety of soup bases, vegetables, and soup additions. I prefer the broth here over the Carrolton location. This is great spot if you’re craving hot pot but don’t want to dish out traditional hot pot prices.

You grab a bowl, tongs, and then grab what you’d like in your bowl. It’s charged by weight. You pick your broth of choice, and they cook it up and bring it out to the table for you. So simple and easy!

I’m a fan of Yin Tang and you will be too! You start with an empty bowl and throw in anything you want with a diverse choice of protein like thinly sliced lamb, intestines, meatballs, and tofu products to fresh cut veggies. Then you put it in a scale where they weigh it and you tell them what broth you would like your stuff cooked in. It’s straight forward pricing as all items cost the same as they only care about the weight. It’s $14 per pound and you pay after you’re done eating. Really simple, but great concept. The staff is nice and come by occasionally to make sure everything is up to your standards.

Although the food and atmosphere is good, the behavior and attitude of the stingy female waitress is completely unacceptable and outrageous. Being a regular at this restaurant, I always tip around 15% for lunch and 18-20% for dinner; despite this however, the female waitress makes a point to treat me with an unpleasant attitude and ask me to give higher tips. On one occasion, after bringing my friend to this restaurant, and ordering a nearly $60 bill AND already giving around 12.5% tips, she had the audacity to come to us and beg us for a larger tip. A tip is EARNED, not demanded.

Yin Tang is an absolute gem! The customer service is top-notch, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure a great experience. The ingredients are incredibly fresh, and the broths are flavorful. I know my order well so I do not overpay for food and I almost always have enough leftover to bring as a second meal using the broth.
This is just the best comfort food on a cold day!! Definitely be mindful of how much you’re getting and you won’t be over paying!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place !! The food is paid by the pound, so if you’re a first timer here, it might be easy to make your bowl heavy and pay a little more. However, once you’re familiar with your order and know just the “right” amount for you, it is a great value. Most of the time, my bowls are under 1 lb, and it is enough to fill me up or even take home. The customer service is always 5 star, and the staff members are really nice and make you feel welcome. Definitely a good restaurant option for groups since everyone customizes their bowl. Go to this place if you haven’t. It’s awesome :)))
