What we ordered:

⭐️ BBQ Pork Rice Noodle Roll – $8.50 – My partner loved it!!! Perfect amount of meat to rice noodle ratio.

⭐️ Shumai – $6.75 – I thought this was okey/average tasting, nothing to special. Probably wouldn’t order it again.

⭐️ Chinese Sausage Rice Bowl – $11.50 – This one was so homey! My mom has made this before with a clay pot and it’s so good! Very easy and simple to make but super flavorful.

Came in for a quick lunch with the wife.

Rice roll with shrimp and marinated beef. Shu mai, and signature won ton soup. All very good. We’ve been looking for a close to home dim sum and rice roll spot, we think we have found it. It sounds so simple to say but the wonton soup was the star of our meal. Shumai was great but all do respect its but smaller In portions to what I was expecting. Rice roll spot was great. Service was fantastic and they even offer hot tea on the house to start. We wil absolutely be back!!

Yin Ji Chang Fen is a delight for anyone craving authentic Cantonese comfort food. Their signature rice noodle rolls are silky, delicate, and filled with flavorful choices—from shrimp to BBQ pork. The congee is creamy and warming, with subtle seasoning that lets the ingredients shine. Service is prompt and friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Highly recommend their dough-stick wrapped roll and a bowl of congee on a chilly day.

Yin Ji is named after a famous restaurant in Gyangzhou, indicated to be its oversea branch. Chang Fen is the traditional rice roll. Thus restaurant is clean, neatly organized. It’s food is outstanding in congee offerings, ingredients distinctive from other local restaurants. The rice roll is delicate covering with generous content. Other side dishes, especially Chinese donuts, are tasty. Prices are reasonable for its quality. Service staff are courteous and efficient.

Great service and short wait time. The food is pretty flavorful but they put lettuce in it which is something not as common. If you’re looking for the Hong Kong style one then this is not it but still tastes good though. The milk tea is on the sweeter side so ask for less sweet but the tea base is good. The lemon tea is authentic without the bitterness from the lemon and not dry on the mouth. Overall, this place is good and worth a try

I had the pleasure of dining at Yin Ji restaurant in Pleasanton, and it exceeded all my expectations. The fish porridge they serve is simply outstanding. The fish was cooked to perfection, and the porridge had a comforting and rich flavor that warmed my soul. Equally impressive were their rice rolls, which were incredibly light and packed with delightful fillings. The combination of flavors and textures in both dishes was truly remarkable. Yin Ji is a true culinary gem that deserves all the praise it receives

Good service and good portions. I’ve been to other chains but this porridge tastes better, served really hot and presentation better. The you tiao Chinese donut is nice a crunchy. Nice restaurant except for the flies zapper in the middle of the floor.

Worst service I’ve experienced in Pleasanton.

I visited this location today for lunch with my family, including my 8-month-old son. As new parents, we don’t dine out often, but we wanted to have a nice meal. Instead, our experience was ruined by one incredibly rude waitress.

It started the moment we walked in. It is winter and freezing outside, so when she offered us a table right next to the main door, we politely asked to wait for a different table so our baby wouldn’t be in the cold draft. Instead of communicating nicely, she yelled at us in front of the entire restaurant to “move to the side” and accused us of blocking the door. We complied immediately, but her aggression was completely uncalled for.

The breaking point was at the end of the meal. My son started crying for a few seconds. I was already in the process of lifting him out of the high chair to take him outside so we wouldn’t disturb other diners. Despite me clearly taking action, this same waitress marched over and yelled, “Why don’t you just go outside?” right in our faces.

I understand that kids can be loud, but she showed absolutely no patience or empathy for a mother who was actively trying to handle the situation. If you are dining solo or as a couple, you might be fine. But if you have a family or small children, avoid this place at all costs. This woman has no business working in hospitality.

This place it’s really delicious.I am in love with their egg rice noodle, nice and smooth. Customer service is great, always ask for refills of water and if we need anything. Definitely a place to give a try and I will definitely stop by again if I am in the area . Highly recommended this location to give a try.
