I ordered a Pad Thai through DoorDash for delivery. It is nothing like the image pictured on the option to order. It was the most bland Thai dish I have ever had, I worked at a Thai restaurant for over a year and have never had such a disappointing Pad Thai. Where it did have flavor it tasted like ketchup and fish sauce. The tofu was cooked well but for some reason I got a lemon instead of a lime? Would not order again unfortunately.

Yin Dee Lao has HANDS DOWN the best Pad Thai I’ve ever had. And I don’t say that lightly! The noodles were perfectly cooked, the flavor was rich and balanced, and the sauce had that perfect mix of sweet, savory, and just a little tang. You can taste how fresh everything is.

The portion size was great, the presentation was beautiful, and the customer service was amazing. The staff was welcoming and made the whole experience even better.

If you’re craving authentic Thai food, this is the spot. I will definitely be coming back for that Pad Thai again (and again ).

The drunken noodles were amazing!!!! So delicious and you can adjust flavor because they have a self serve sauce counter 🙂 i would say the omelette was a bit too salty for me, but the laab gai was fantastic!!

This humble restaurant has fair prices and delicious food!!

I do still stand by the statement that quality has gone down on certain dishes but don’t hesitate to try them out! This is just unfortunately a pattern I see in many restaurants due to changes in produce prices. Their pad thai is still the best I’ve had in NC.

Update: We got what we usually get but this time the padthai came out with VERY little meat (we had ordered shrimp), regardless the flavors are still good! For the Thom Khem they used a different cut of pork this time, it was drier and a lot leaner than pork belly, I would not reccomend this dish anymore.

The pictures for drinks are not very accurate, we ordered the naam keiw drink which looked like a milky green slush in the picture but when we got it, it was an aggressive hulk green. The drink was super sweet and a little melted so we asked if we could change in the drink but they declined so my bf bought another one (thai tea) … sorry to say but that one was also not so good and the boba tasted old in both drinks. Food is good here but the drinks have been a big miss so far.

I’m a little disappointed because I always suggest this place to friends and family, I feel like the food has changed overall and would not suggest them anymore. Sad to say It’s been like this the past few times we have gone here.

To end on a good note, I really liked that they added a complimentary hot water! That was nice 🙂 and they have these stools in the corner which are super cute. Thank you for the meals.

Update: still one of my favorite places to eat! Added more photos. Two dishes in the photos are the same as my review, the new dish is the drunken noodles.

Authentic flavors and great service, only issue is that the level 5 spicy was not spicy at all for me. Also, I got the Lao sausage but they were out of the very tasty greener sauce for it which was disappointing. Still, make this a must go for Thai and Lao food take out.

they were really quick to make my order. It is very tasty and they made it spicy exactly how i wanted. Level 3. I wouldn’t get any spicier unless u want to have tears streaming. Really good flavor.

Actually went for Vietnamese Pho tai chin. Soup was great and met my expectations.
It is not a “traditional ” restaurant in the sense that everything is more geared to take out. Disposable bowl and utensils, prepackaged add one, etc. But it’s really about the food and that hit the mark.

Food at this restaurant is delicious always, no doubt about that. We very frequently order a level spice 3 for my order and 4 for my husband. Today we ordered 4 family trays with spice level 1 because a bit of spice is good for our family that is visiting, however, the level of spice on the 4 family trays was level 3-4. We ordered 2 family trays of drunken noodles and 2 family trays of lao fried rice with spice level 1.

After eating, both dishes are a spice level of 3 or 4. Some of us can eat it and the others cannot because it’s not even level 2.

I called the restaurant with the intention to get my complaint heard, I did not want a refund or food to be remade. I spoke with the owner Cindy. She explained how they make it and that is fine but she kept saying that the food we are eating was mild. This was not mild. I always order 3 and this was at least that. Food was delicious but unfortunately the owner did not even acknowledge that the food could have been made spicier than normal or that they could have made a mistake. She was defensive and rude. When the owner asked me what I wanted because I am complaining, I only asked that if a customer requests a level 1 that they are informed that it does not guarantee that it will be that spice level for the family trays, she just kept saying that the food we were given was mild when we are the ones eating it, and it is not mild.

The food was so flavorful and fresh. Nice portion sizes and great prices. This is authentic Thai & Laos cuisine, not the Americanized Thai. So you may not see dishes you are familiar with, which is a huge plus for me! The inside is cozy and seating is limited. The customers are expected to clean the table after their meal. They provide sanitizing wipes and a bin near the door to place your dishes. The establishment is very clean. We will be back!

I recently dined at this wonderful family-owned Lao restaurant, and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The menu featured a delightful array of authentic Lao dishes, each bursting with vibrant flavors and carefully crafted with love and passion. I personally enjoyed the S5. Sour Chicken Soup as it reminded me of my mom’s cooking. The owners and their staff went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was exceptional, providing attentive service and helpful recommendations. It was evident that the ingredients were fresh and the recipes were passed down through generations, as every bite was a true taste of Lao cuisine. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable, making it a fantastic value for a memorable family meal. There is also plenty of outside seating to the left of the building complex. I highly recommend this Lao restaurant to anyone looking to indulge in delicious food, rich culture, and the warmth of a family-run establishment.
