My husband and I come here every time we are in Okoboji, he had experience living here when he was young and loves the nostalgia. Tonight we visited and we were waited on by Abby and she was absolutely fantastic, just the right amount of visiting the table and as someone with really bad social anxiety it was refreshing how kind and reassuring she was when i asked questions. My favorite part of the meal was the creme brulee and my husband loved the scallops, I really look forward to our next visit.

This place was hopping. It seemed as though they were a little understaffed, but who isn’t these days! Our server did her best to attend to us and her many, many, other tables which I find super impressive. The food was immaculate in my opinion. My shrimp were perfect, the martini was delicious, and the gin and tonics were refreshing on a hot day. We were served as timely as possible with how busy it was and Yesterday’s staff made sure we were happy customers.

We are from Sioux Falls and Yesterdays was a very nice change of pace for us. I have to say this steak was among the best if not the best steak I have ever had at a restaurant. My wife had the scallop special and they were prepared perfectly as well. Amazing drinks, amazing service and romantic atmosphere. Perfect place to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. So glad we chose this place among all the cool places to eat in town!

Friendly and extremely helpful and quick waitstaff, the waitresses were very attentive and the restaurant appeared well staffed. New York Style Chowder started our meal off with great flavor and truthfully, I would have taken about a gallon of it home! The Crab Cakes were wonderful, especially paired with the french fried onions that accompanied the dish. Peach and Goat Cheese Salad was fresh, delicious and tasted great with the addition of Steak Strips. Great flavors in every dish as well.

Outstanding service, wonderful setting and delicious food. Crab-cakes, rice and Green-beans were outstanding. Be aware, it’s a pricier place, though.

Wonderful hostess and attentive staff to begin with. We had three different servers check in on us immediately after being seated. It was finally sorted as to who was going to take care of our table after a few minutes.
40 minute wait only to be presented with the wrong item. When the “server” refreshed our water glasses and was asked about the incorrect order she replied, “I don’t know, you’ll have to ask your waitress.”
Caesar Salad (that accompanied the Shrimp Scampi) was soggy – obviously premade and set aside in the frig to serve and much, much, later time. The wild rice that came with the Scampi was clumpy and sticky. Shrimp and vegetables were pretty good. Stick with the “don’t order seafood in a land-locked state” mantra. The steaks are probably delicious!
High quality restaurant prices and buffet quality presentation with this meal.

My wife and I were in Okoboji for vacation a couple weeks ago. Our dinner was fantastic! It was so good, that when dinner plans came up the 2nd night of our stay, my wife wanted to go back again. Thank you Yesterday’s!!
